May 1942; the raging war against Germany is in full swing. Everyday the people of London live in fear of dying, especially those parents with children living within the city. Which is how our story starts, with planes flying over the city in the midst of the night. Enemy fire bombs consistently to the ground, hitting anything within their aim. Towards the edge of the city, in a small town not too far from the boarders edge, sits a cottage style home with a white picket fence. The yard is not too large yet not too small, with the bomb shelter hidden underneath the apple tree. The neighbouring houses are very similar, but it is this particular house that this story begins. This house belongs to Fredrick Mason - a soldier away at war fighting the battle only adults can comprehend. His wife, Linda Mason, misses him dearly but holds her strength together in order to be strong for her children. She often wears pretty floral dresses with aprons atop them, her brown hair neatly tied up so she can focus on her cooking. Her green eyes sparkle with sadness, but around her children they glitter with fondness. The Mason's eldest - Andrew - is 16 and rather head strong just like his father. Despite this, he loves nothing more than his family and will do absolutely anything to protect them. Just like his mother, his green eyes sparkle in the sunlight along with his black hair, and he often adorns a smile that blinds nearly anyone who gazed upon it - quite the ladies man as his father would say. The Mason family also comprise of a young 12 year old daughter, Sophia. Whilst her brother is openly confident with having conversations with strangers, Sophia would rather stick to herself and her own imagination. It's rather wild, often transporting her to other worlds which gets her in trouble - often. Unlike her brother, she has brown eyes and brown hair very much like her father which is why the young girl attaches herself to his hip. At least, before he went away. Now, it's actually a blessing in disguise that Fredrick was drafted, for if he hadn't then there would be no story. And this story, well, it's a story that not many are privileged to hear. This is a tale about a land far away, with talking trees and magical creatures. This is a tale about the Mason children and their journey to a place called Narnia.

Hi.....
So yeah, I'm pretty sure this concept isn't new but I've had this story for ages and have finally decided to put it out there. To be honest, it's probably awful, but hey! Worth a short.
