The loud chirps of a bird wake me up, the sunlight trying to break through my eye lids. I sigh and peel open my eyes, letting them adjust to the brightness before sitting up. Turning my head to the left, I see a small bluebird perched atop the window sill, looking into the room. I send a smile it's way, admiring the blue feathers that glisten in the morning sunlight, before watching it fly away into the trees. I sigh, staring at the trees with almost a mourning feeling washing over me - the view reminding me of last nights heartache. A sudden rustle catches my attention, my eyes flitting from the window and towards the right side of the bedroom. My gaze settles upon Lucy yawning loudly, her hair looking to be a birds nest and her face flushed from an obvious deep sleep."Good morning Lucy."
I giggle, my words jumbling together as I try and hold myself together. The sight is too different from anything I've seen, yet I have a feeling I should get used to it.
"Good morning."
Is the response I receive as the young Pevensie runs her hands through the tangled mess of hair. I try to stifle my laughter as she pulls and tugs, but I fail to do so as giggles escape my mouth in a mad rush. I clutch my stomach as I bend over, an ache erupting through the area. As I try and calm myself, I hear Lucy huffing in annoyance - my gaze trails up to her as she gives up and flops her hands down onto the bed. Snorting, I straighten up to regain my composure although the laughter feels amazing after last nights events. Lucy and I had entered the bedroom late last night to find it empty and in darkness. I didn't care, nor did Lucy, and the two of us fell into a comfortable silence as we tried to fall asleep. It had been a few minutes of this when Susan had entered, the voice of the Professor accompanying her. It was quite odd, but with Susan not here at the moment I have a feeling today is going to be odd. With one last stretch, I jump out of bed and begin to get dressed for the day- my black cardigan warming me up slightly despite the sunshine shining. Smiling toward Lucy, I grasp her hand in mine before venturing toward the library. I know everyone is going to be behind this door as it approaches, and I hold my breath slightly. The hurtful words cut me deep, and I don't know how well I can keep my composure. Still, I push open the door lightly and step over the threshold - the sound of the door clanging catching everyone's attention. Susan glances up from the book in her hands with a blank expression, whilst Andrew and Peter stop their conversation abruptly. Ignoring them all, plus Edmund whom is drawing, I lead Lucy toward the bay window - the latter huffing slightly as we do. Silence envelops the room awkwardly, until the sound of pages beginning to turn and hush voices catches my attention. And something tells me it isn't going to change.

Shifting slightly, I cross my legs to make myself comfortable as Lucy's eyes gleam with happiness.
"Next time, we have to ask Mr Tumnus about his friends."
Her words cause me to nod in agreement, the statement true. The past visits have really been about Lucy and I, and Narnia as a whole rather than Mr Tumnus. I feel slightly bad and as I begin to voice this to my friend, I'm cut off by a simple cough of someone clearing their throat. I shut my mouth abruptly and gaze over my shoulder, watching with a blank face as Andrew trails after Peter - both boys hesitantly approaching the bay window. Out of the corner of my eye I see Lucy rolling her eyes subtly, which causes me to smirk slightly as Peter takes a deep breath.
