Sushi date
imagine & one-shot; pt. 2 of 2_______'s POV
'It's alright. You're cool, _____. Any guy would be lucky to call you their girlfriend, so just relax and be yourself....actually, don't be yourself. Be your happier self. Rainbows and kittens, bitch.' I told myself while I was looking at the mirror. I slapped my face hard before smiling at myself again. 'People would think I'm crazy if they saw me do that.'
I shake my head before grabbing my mini sized backpack and double checking if all my things are inside.
"Got a date with Yama-kun again? Your father's not gonna like that." I swiftly turned around and saw my mom leaning against the door frame smirking at me. 'She probably thought it would make her look cool, leaning on my door like that.'
"I'll introduce him to dad soon, and please refrain leaning on my door like that, it would leave a dent."
I speed walked without turning around before she could realize what I said to her. I shouted a "goodbye" before shutting the door and hearing a loud thud inside.
I took a turn on our street before bumping into someone with large, brown eyes.
"Oof. Be more careful, ______-chan." Takeshi helped me up before taking my hand in his.
"I'm really excited for our date today. It's been a while since we've done this since I've always been busy."
I just nodded and looked away. Everytime I'm with Takeshi I'm always speechless and he make my heart skip a beat. I hate it.
It makes me feel weak and powerless, and girly. If Hibari was here he'll probably bite us to death.
"Why are you quiet, ______-chan? Did something happened?" I flinched before turning to him.
"Sorry if I worried you. Nothing's wrong, to be honest. I was just thinking. And you don't need to worry about not being with me for a while since we both have a lot of stuff on our hands this past few weeks." I gave him a smile before tightening my hold on his hand.
The walk to his place was peacefully quiet. We both enjoyed the silence and the presence of eachother without saying anything.
"Here we are!" He opened the door and we both greeted his dad. "Ah! Welcome back, ____-chan." His dad smiled warmly at me and motioned the seat near him.
"It's been a while, Yamamoto-san." I bowed my head slightly before something-- I mean someone hit my head. "How many times do I have to tell you to call me 'father' already? I know for sure my son will marry you someday so let's just skip the formalities already." He grinned at me before preparing the meal for us.
I glanced at Takeshi and saw him with a blush on his face. He was looking anywhere but me, probably feeling embarrassed with what his father said earlier. "Sorry, father. I guess I need to get used to it." I smiled apologetically before taking a seat.
Takeshi was surprised but didn't say anything since his dad was in front of us, so he just took a seat beside me. When the food was ready we all grab our chopsticks and make a small talk here and there from time to time. It was peaceful and very unlikely because we all know that the Yamamoto family are quite talkative.
Not that I didn't mind the peace, so I didn't pry on what's going on on their minds. After finishing the meal I thanked his father--or also my father? I don't know. I thanked his father for the meal and told him that I'll see him soon. After bidding a farewell to Takeshi's dad we started walking towards the park where we shared our first kiss.
"Ano, ____-chan, about what my old man said earlier I hope it wouldn't freak you out. He really like you for me so he just keeps on saying what he think is helpful..."
I hold his hand and swing it back and forth with mine, "It's okay, I actually don't mind, and I'm quite flattered. I didn't know you love me that much despite being together for only a month or so."
He gasped a bit before looking up, not meeting my gaze, "Well yeah, I've liked you for quite some time now so yeah, you know? You always make my heart go boom boom without realizing it." I sweat dropped at his use of words because he's doing his Yamamoto language again. But I love that about him.
"I hope that I really get to call your dad my father in the future.... I mean if we last that long... not that I don't want to but what if we have a fight and decided to break up? Or what if one of us cheat? Or we found someone better than the other? Or--or I don't know!" I started panicking and saying nonsense until Takeshi kissed me.
"Aha, so all I need to do to shut you up is to kiss you? You're making my heart go fwaaan again. And don't worry, I'll make sure to put a ring on it when we graduate." He gave me a closed eye grin before ruffling my hair and running.
"Catch me outside, _____-chan!!" He dashed away from me grinning like an idiot.
"We are outside, idiot! Get back here!"
