Maybe This Time

Two old friends meet again, catching up on all the years they have spent afar. Two childhood sweethearts who fell apart, both of you are destined for each other, but someone is afraid of giving their heart.

Tsuna was in a high-end suit, freshly made in Italy by a known brand called Versace. He was strolling around Namimori, enjoying his time before getting back to his work. He suddenly saw a familiar figure from a distance, making him widen his eyes and approach her.

You decided to wear something casual but still on-trend today. You planned on buying groceries and buying some new clothes for your visit to Italy next, next week. You'll be staying there for a few weeks for work, and then you have a week to enjoy yourself there. Wandering around Namimori, your feet decided to take you somewhere you haven't been to since you were a teenager, Namimori Middle School, where you met the love of your life. You looked at the structure and began imagining things, making Tsuna unnoticed by you.

He was now standing beside you, about to tap your shoulder when he glanced at your face. He was mesmerized by you. Reasons started flooding his thoughts on why he loves you. "Tsuna-san?" You gasped. He blinked his eyes before smiling at you.

"I'm back, ____-chan." He opened his arms wide, expecting you to run towards him and hug him tightly, but you just stood on your feet, looking at him with wide eyes, "Tsuna, we broke up, remember?"

"Oh yeah..." He looked down, pain noticeable on his eyes, before clearing his throat and looking at you. "I still love you." You were in awe of his confession. The Tsuna you once dated was never that straightforward with you. "Tsuna, you know I love you too--" "Then what gives, ___? We love each other. We were meant for each other. What the hell is the problem then?" He was different from the Tsuna you knew. He was more expressive now than before. How you wish you could run to him and kiss him to shut him up. "I don't know, Tsu-kun. I just feel like we wouldn't work out."

"'Tsu-kun'... I've missed that nickname." He smiled softly, "How could you say that, ____? We haven't even tried yet. The ____ I know would take the risk. We love each other... isn't that enough reason for us to try dating again? You know I wouldn' hurt you, right? "

"Tsuna, I'm sorry, but I don't think this is the right time for me to be in a relationship. I'm happy on my own. I can do whatever I want whenever I want to without worrying about anything. I want to grow by myself without the help of anyone. I'm still learning to love myself before I decide to love someone." He looked hurt, but he was still satisfied to see you become this kind of woman. He was a bit upset because he wasn't there to witness you grow, but he understands both of your situations.

He was the leader of Italy's most powerful mafia family while you're an executive assistant of a very known company, Bouncing Ball Corporation. Both of you grew apart, but there's still something inside the both of you that yearns for the other person.

"I guess I can't talk you through it, huh? ____, I'll always love you, no matter what happens, and I promise that if we saw each other again I'll make you mine." He grabbed your hand and gave it a light kiss before going to the direction of his home, "maybe this time isn't the right time, but I have a feeling that we'll meet again."

"Everything has been settled here, sir Kozume. The other company agreed with our schedule and I've analyzed the data that was sent to you for our upcoming meeting," you said while you typed something on your laptop. You were enjoying your time in Italy, sitting outside a coffeehouse with warm coffee on your right side, and some roasted vegetable frittata on your left side.
