I'm With You

You were waiting for [random guy's name] outside a cinema for your date. An hour and a half have passed, and you noticed the skies were turning gray, matching your gloomy mood. Both of you are dating for a month now and you remembered how happy you were when he asked you out. A month of happiness felt surreal to you because you got used to being alone. It was the cliche popular boy falls in love with a shy girl scenario but it still made you somewhat special. Out of all the girls that like him and throw themselves at him, he chose you.

But you didn't know that your happiness would end too soon.

You saw [random guy's name] with another girl clinging to him. They look at each other with love in their eyes when suddenly [random guy's name] looked ahead of him and saw you standing in front of him. He gaped at you and tried to reach out, but you moved your hands away.

"I trusted you." Those words were enough to break a tiny piece of his heart. Even if he acted like a jerk, he still couldn't stand seeing a girl cry, let alone you, his girlfriend. You stood there, waiting for him to explain himself when the girl's voice rang through your ears.

"What's going on, [random guy's name]? Who is she?" She looked at both of you and detached herself from your boyfriend. Now, ex-boyfriend. He sighed before turning to the girl beside him.

"Ruki, I'll tell you everything later. Could you please buy tickets for the both of us?" He handed her some money and pushed her lightly forward. The girl looked back but didn't question anything and moved to the ticket booth. She doesn't look familiar to you so you assumed that she's from another school.

"____, please hear me out. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings, but I think we should break up. It's not you, it's me. I lost a bet and they told me to date you for a week. I know it's a shitty thing to do, but-" A loud smack was heard that made the people near the scene turn their heads toward the noise. Surprisingly, tears weren't coming out of your eyes. "Go fuck yourself."

Those were your last words to him before walking away. You unclasped the bracelet he gave you when you both started dating and threw it in the nearby bin. 'What a fucking day,' you thought to yourself. Sighing heavily, you decided to go home and cry your eyes out.

Yeah, he was stupid to do the dare, but what's done is done. You believe in karma which is why you just let things be and focus on yourself. You are a forgiving person, but the damage that [random guy's name] and his idiotic friends did will take some time before you forgive them.

Unbeknownst to you, someone is doing something to act as your enemies' karma.

a week and so later,

News has spread about your breakup with your ex-boyfriend. Walking down the hallway was irritating when dozen of eyes follows you. 'So this must be how celebrities feel like...' you thought to yourself.

Entering the classroom, you sat down at your table with a sigh. You were starting to space out when someone lightly poke your shoulder. That face of his made your blood boil but you composed yourself and raised a brow instead.

"I'm sorry. I want to let you know that I didn't want to do the dare since it's dumb but... I honestly don't know what pushed me to do it. I explained everything to Ruki. She broke up with me after you left and took my money. I deserve that." he chuckled but then stopped when he saw your disapproving look.
