Chapter 3: A date?

Jennifer's POV:

I lifted my head from David's chest and looked around the room and then back down. I smiled. Looks like we fell asleep, I shook David slightly so that I could wake him up.
"David, wake up."
"Mmm..." He stirred in his sleep.
"Come on David, it's getting late!" I said giggling while shaking him a little harder. His eye lids fluttered open to reveal his chocolate brown eyes. "Okay, I'm up." He said while pushing himself up to a sitting position and rubbing his eyes.
"I should get going..."
"Aw no, can't you stay a little longer?" He looked at me with his brown puppy dog eyes. How am I supposed to say no to that? I thought to myself. "I'll see you another day!" I say, moving my hand onto his cheek and rubbing it with my thumb. "Are you free tomorrow?" He says while putting his hand over mine, making me smile.
"I think so, why?"
"Because I want to take you out, do you think that would be okay?" I smile at him.
"Yeah, that would be great!"
"Okay good, what do you say I pick you up at about 7:00 pm?"
"Sounds perfect."
"It's a date!" He says quickly.
"It's a date." I smile. "I'll just text you my address."
"Okay, cool."
"I'll see you later, then?" I smile while giving his hand a squeeze.
"Definitely!" He says quickly giving me a peck on the cheek. I look down at our intwined fingers hoping he won't see the blush that has formed on my cheeks. I look up and I meet his adorable puppy dog eyes. How can one person be so cute? "Okay, now I really have to go!" I giggle
"Hm, fine. I'll walk you to the door." We get up from the couch and he guides me to the door. We say our goodbyes, I get into my car smiling like an idiot.
