It all started when Sebastian was watching her race in his trailer. He couldn't make it due to filming obligations, so he gathered his friends/co-stars in his trailer to watch the race. They were showing highlights of the race from the day before, showing a serious accident that sent an F1 male racer to hospital, and were wishing him a speedy recovery. Sebastian was unable to focus on the rest of the race then, as all he could think about was his beautiful (Y/N) in a similar situation.
She was all happy and excited when Sebastian got home. She raced to meet him at the door, giving him a big hug and kiss on the lips.
"Were you watching, baby?" she asked excitedly, bouncing like a child on a sugar high. "I got first! I go on to the next race tomorrow! Are you filming? This is gonna be a big race, you should come if you can!"
Sebastian looked at her for a moment before sighing and moving past her. (Y/N) watched him walk to the kitchen in confusion. "Seb?"
He didn't speak. She followed him into the kitchen, where he wordlessly stood by the fridge, unsure of what he was doing. Just trying to avoid telling her what was on his mind, he figured.
"Sebastian, what's wrong?" she asked. "Did...did something happen at work? Did I do something? What's wrong?"
"I...I don't know how I feel about you racing anymore."
(Y/N) stumbled back, as if his words had shoved her. He could've said anything and it would hurt less than him disapproving of her job, her dream job.
It was so out of the blue, she didn't understand where it had come from. (Y/N) and Sebastian had been dating for nearly 3 years, and she had already been an F1 driver for 4 years by that point. The day they were supposed to have their first date, (Y/N) was told she had gotten a spot in one of the biggest races in the world. She couldn't pass it up, but she wanted to in order to go on their date. Sebastian told her it was okay and they'd reschedule. Little did she know, he had plans to show up at the race with a sign he made that read "WIN OR LOSE, I WANT TO BE WITH YOU".
He had always been supportive of her. He went to every race he could, if he couldn't go to a race in person he was watching from a TV somewhere. To hear him say that he didn't know how he felt about it anymore was like a slap to the face.
"W-Why?" she asked.
"I was watching the highlight reel from yesterday," Sebastian explained. "I saw the racer that got into an accident...I can't help but worry about that happening to you. I don't know what I'd do with myself if you were badly injured or...or worse in one of those accidents."
(Y/N) scoffed. "Sebastian, accidents like that happen all the time in racing. Ricky is fine, he's in hospital recovering. Nothing like that is going to happen to me, baby."
"You can't guarantee that, though, (Y/N)," Sebastian argued. "What if something happens and you're not fine? What if you get into an accident that kills you?"
