Trigger Warning: vague talk of suicide at the end
Age 6
Long hair and in pigtails
having a laugh with her friends
she doesn't want it to end.
Age 10
Brilliant eyes full of light
running along the beach under the sun
she doesn't want it to end.
Age 14
Crooked smile with her dimples
indulged in books and alone in her world
she doesn't want it to end.
Age 18
Pale skin and long sleeves
head down low hiding from the demons
she wants it to end.
Age 20
Sunken cheeks and dark circles
breathing shallow and harsh
it ended.
