You pour you and your friend, Joanna, another glass of wine. Both of your children are off at summer camp and you two are absolutely free from the chains of parenting.
"Oh yes! But have you heard... the Richards are moving Molly from public school to a religious private school because they found out she was lesbian, poor girl." You say, shaking your head lightly and taking a sip from your glass. Then, there's a aggressive knock at the door. You stand to go get it, but Joanna holds you down.
"Oh come on, they're probably just Mormons, it's time to just relax and let them get tired of knocking." Joanna purrs. You nod and chuckle.
The knocking persists, getting more and more aggressive.
"Well, good heavens. The knocking won't let me relax. I must go get it, Joanna." You quickly get up, merely missing Joanna's hand that attempts to pull you down. You unlock the door and open it slightly. You open your mouth to shoo them away but are left in shock when it's a two children. "Hello, little ones. Is anything wrong?" You ask.
The children seem quite peculiar. One is female, one is male. They both wear all black clothing, their black hoodies casting shadows over their faces preventing you from seeing their faces clearly.
With their heads still bowed down, they ask at the same time, "May we come in please?" You glance towards the living room, where Joanna is probably puzzled at how long you are spending at the door. She seems to have gotten impatient and you now hear footsteps behind you, then Joanna's voice.
"Eden, what is- what in God's name?" Joanna's asks after laying her eyes upon the children.
"They're asking to come in..." You reply. You meet Joanna's glance and she looks skeptical.
"You know what, one second darlings." Joanna's says, closing the door. She brings you to the living room. "Absolutely not."
"What? They're children! They have no guardian—" Your motherly instinct is pounding in your chest.
"Listen, Eden. Remember we're free from Nicole and Jessie? We don't want children in the house during summer! Right?" Joanna says gently, looking you in the eyes. You nod. "So we are going back to them and refusing, no matter what mothering instincts you have."
You two walk back to the door and open it. "I'm sorry, lovely's, but we can't take you in. Maybe we could drop you off at the orphanage?" You suggest.
But then, everything takes a turn for the worst. The children turn aggressive. "Let us in, NOW." Their voices are deep and raspy. You a filled with fear but then the children finally look up at you, revealing their faces. They have pale, cracked skin, and the most prominent feature, all black eyes. Your head is sent into a daze and you open the door all the way now. It's like some force is making you want to let them in despite what you really think.
"Actually, yes, you may come in..." You let them in slowly, smiling at the children. Before they step in though, your common sense comes back to you and you close the door more, leaving it open a slither so you can still see them. "No, I meant no." You slam the door and all this processes. Your heart beats hard against your chest and you slump against the door, breathing heavily and brushing fingers aggressively through your hair.
"Eden, Eden, compose yourself! Maybe we've had too much to drink, honey." Joanna grabs your hand and brings you over to the table, sitting you down. "We'll get this sorted out. And I will make sure they won't come back. Just calm down, breath."
"No, Joanna. I saw it right before my own eyes. Those children had all black eyes, Joanna! Without a doubt I saw it." You exclaim. Joanna stares at you. She shakes her head.
"Take a rest. I think you've had too much wine." Joanna prepares to drag you to bed, but you dodge her hand.
"No! Believe me. Please." You persist. You assume your eyes are full of plea when Joanna gulps and finally nods.
"Ok... ok. I believe you. I saw it... too. But they can't come back, what dangers could they do to us, they barely look human!" Joanna agrees. She suddenly picks up her cellphone and dials 911.
Shortly, the police arrive at your house. They search the whole neighborhood but don't find any trace of the children you described. You sleep uneasy, knowing they can appear whenever.

Hello! I know it's been a very long time since I've update this story, because it's complete but I just couldn't resist from writing this chapter. I was supposed to be doing homework but got lured into YouTube, haha, and ended watching this spooky video of these entities called Black Eyes Children. I got inspired by the YouTube channel EdgeOfNightfall, which is where I watched the video from. I recommend watching it because it did the job in spooking me, haha.
