A groan left his lips as he pushed himself up slowly, rubbing his head and blinking his eyes against the harsh sun shining down on him. Covering his eyes, he narrowed them skeptically.

Where am I? He couldn't help but think as he looked around at his unfamiliar surroundings. Standing up slowly, Nick spun around in a circle as he looked around in growing curiosity. It was warmer than he was used to, but not too overwhelming so, and he could make out tall mountains rise in the far distance and go beyond the clouds. He had found himself at the edge of a forest, next to a dirt road that seemed to be frequently used by what he assumed were horses and humans alike. He also could see paw prints that looked to belong to a dog, but a breed much larger than any he knew.

"Do you know where we are?" He muttered under his breath at the entity residing within. "We are not on Earth anymore, are we, Lucifer?"

"No, we aren't," the Archangel replied, sounding rather tired which was so unlike him. "There was a rift between the universes and we appear to have fallen through it. I'm not quite sure where we are now... Dad had made a lot of weird places."

"Are you alright?" Nick added, deciding he might as well follow the dirt road and see where it would end. It had to lead somewhere, right?

"There is a lot of magic in this world, more so than any other place I know of. It's getting some used to and I don't want to accidentally lose control and destroy your body," the angel muttered.

A wry grin formed on Nick's face as he walked down the road. "Then take it easy for now. I'll stay in control for a while and navigate us around this place," he said, gazing up at the sky as he squinted his eyes against the harsh sunlight. He could make out some large silhouettes against the sun, but the sun was too bright and they were too far away for him to make out any distinguishing features. But they didn't seem to show any interest in swiping down to grab and devour them so Nick let it be.

"If they try something funny, I'll destroy them. I'll destroy them all and make them regret thinking of snacking on you," Lucifer grumbled at Nick's thoughts.

"I know you will," Nick grinned. "And I just thought of something," he added, formulating his thoughts as he could sense Lucifer's curiosity, "but the Winchester's... they didn't fall through the portal as well, did they?"

"They are warded against angels so I cannot say for sure... but I don't think so."

"Think about it, Luci. We are - most likely - in a world without the Winchester's in it. There's no one who could possibly get in our way anymore. We can be ourselves without ever having to worry about them anymore." He said, growing excited at the idea. Sure, this place seemed to have huge monsters and a great deal of magic, according to Lucifer, but that won't be anything they couldn't handle. Lucifer still is an Archangel. They could rule here. "Are there other Archangels in this world?"

"This place doesn't seem to have a Heaven nor a Hell," Lucifer replied. "It has monsters and magic, and humans from what I can sense, but that's it."

Nick threw his head up at the sky and watched the flying silhouettes for a while. He could now vaguely make out leathery wings. "Different monsters than those from our world, it seems."

"So are we going to stay here?" Lucifer asked him, genuinely interested in what Nick had to say and his opinion on the matter.

"I don't think that will be a bad idea. We can always see how it goes and decide later," he carefully said.

For now he just had to focus on reaching the end of the road. He could already vaguely make out a city in the distance, made from a silver-like material. It was like a city carved out of starlight. "No, I don't think it will be a bad idea to hang around for a while."
