Chapter 1

Shuichi's P.O.V

I was packing up my things in my suitcase and placing it into my car.
I can't believe the day has finally arrived, I'm moving out of my father's home and going to have my own house to take care of my own stuff.

I went into my dad's house for the last time for a while and went straight into my father's office.

"hey dad, I'm off now.... Cya"

Me and my dad never had a actual talk in nearly ten years so yeah, this is normal.

"wait, shuichi. Theirs something I was wondering you could do while you stay at your own house."

"that's what dad??"

"I want you to take care of someone for me. You know that violet kid??"

"you mean the one still in that prison cell??"

"yeah."

"yeah I know him. Why??"

"I want you to take care of him for me."

I'm sorry but what did he just say.
Take care of him??

But why can't he just do it??

"why??"

"Because you might be able to help him out as well as he might be able to help you out."

My father look concern as he spoke his words, I've never seen him so concern about anything.

I just nodded as he stood up and grabbed my hand and we made our way to his car.
I sat in the back seat while he sat in the front seat, he started the car and the car began making its way to the police station.

I watched through the window as we passed some shops, restaurants and other random shops on the way to the station.

I was confused still....

Why did my dad want me to take care of him??

I mean, I might know him but I never would believe he would still be in that cell.

My thoughts came to stop due to my dad stopping the car right in front of the police station and getting out of the car.

I quickly took off my seat belt and quickly got out of the car and followed him into the police station.

"morning ditective Sahara! And detective's son!!"

One of them said as we passed the main office. My dad kept walking until we came up to the prisoners holding cell. Someone was standing their on guard but my dad seam to know them.

"Can we take him out of this place now??"

"who??"

"Kokichi Oma."

"right this way."

We followed him all the way to the very end of the cell, to where someone sat right in the very corner of their cell, wearing straps all around their arms and a mouth guard preventing them from speaking .
I was confused but I get what he meant by his hair was violet, his eyes were violet to but they looked dull.
It was like he never felt any emotions.

"so this is him dad??"

"yep!! Kokichi Oma, the police found him when he was seven years old just standing right in front of a burning building. But then I realised that he murdered his sisters as well as his mom and dad and burnt the house down after he buturched them to death. He just stood their with that teddy bear and watched the house as it burned down to the ground. The police kept him in a cell but let some people that he knew come around to check and keep am eye on him. But they stopped coming after a month. He mostly stayed in his cell and never came out so I understand why his eyes have become dull. Because he no longer feels emotions."
