We've known eachother since childhood
You watched me grow and I watched you turn
Now I watch the flames at my feet while you watch me burn
I gave you the matches and you set me alight
To watch someone die must be a thrilling sight
Because the grin on your face was twisted ear to ear
But in your eyes there was nothing but fear
You burned your salvation to the ground
And all you have left is the sound
The sound of a fire dying
You can hear it can't you?
The person inside, crying and screaming
Don't pretend that you're dreaming
If you play with fire you're gonna get burned
