This is written for an irl competition that I'm entering. The prompt was to write a story no more than 500 words about the power of a good book.

I narrow my eyes at him. 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤 Patriesse is a normal girl with supposedly normal dreams (is it?) and is always eager to please everyone (not) and keep up her reputation(to the hell with that). But when you meet a stranger at a party and get invited to an elite ball, fairy tales do come true, even if not in a way you dream of.

My feelings to yours Just with a touch of poetry

I was a flute player and he was a trumpet player in the best marching band within the state. Yet there was something I didn't know about. How much his words would effect me.

This heart-touching poem explores the strength and beauty of truth in a world where lies and deceit reign supreme. Despite the struggles and challenges, the truth remains a powerful force that cannot be silenced.

What was that? Who knows? Was it the weather? Or was it Mama's anger that's stopping me from eating outside food? I don't know. I sneezed so hard that everything went blank. When I regained my consciousness, I was in the middle of a..... Am I dead??????

Areti always knew her words were powerful. Like, unnaturally powerful. With a single syllable she could start an argument or finish it; she could turn the closest friends into the bitterest of enemies, or lifetime rivals to lovers with a single breath. For the longest time, she reveled in this power, this influence she had over those around her. But when her world gets flipped upside down, she discovers the terrifying truth behind her abilities and who she is. Suddenly her pride and joy. . . seems more a curse. For the sake of herself and her newfound family, can she learn to control her words?
