Its been a few weeks and Sweet Pea and Addison have still kept their relationship secret. For the most part, it was easy since everyone was busy with the play. They were able to sneak kisses in the halls when everyone was at rehearsals and in their study period. They pass by all of the play flyers and make it out the door before heading to Pop's again, grabbing a bite to eat after school. It became a regular for them after their first date.
They sit in their regular booth, side by side with Sweet Pea's arm around the back of the cushion. He twisted a lock of Addison's hair in his fingers as they talked about their day. As they laugh about a joke Sweet Pea made, they spot someone approach them. He slowly pulled him arm into his lap and away from Addison as the person came to a stop in front of them.
Addison recognized the girl from the vixens. She wore the same cheer outfit as her, only Addison had a Riverdale windbreaker over hers. She had a bright smile and short, brown hair. "Midge," she greets the girl. "Hey Addison."
"So, we're having a small get together in a little bit to watch the movie Carrie before opening night next weekend. Toni and I wanted you guys to come." The two looked at each other and back to Midge who gave them a kind smile. "Sure. What time?" Midge moves over so Pop could put their food down at the table. "It's at six. We'll be at the library."
After she left their table, they ate together and got ready to leave. Sweet Pea reached for Addison's hand as they got up, rubbing her knuckles as they walked to the door.
As they opened the door, Addison saw Midge still there with Moose, her boyfriend. His back was to her, but Midge looked up. She saw the two with intertwined fingers, one in blue and gold, and the other in a serpent jacket. The two girls stared at each other for a second, Addison sacred she would say something about it. But instead, Midge sent another warm smile her way and waved her goodbye, taking a sip of her milkshake. She was a vixen dating a serpent and knew others at her school would have something to say. She was lucky that Midge seemed to be open minded about the two sides together and that made her relieved.
They made it to the library, spotting Toni's motorcycle and pulled apart before fully going inside. They walked side by side into a room with the theater and crew, greeting and taking a spot on the floor next to Toni, who was next to Cheryl. A few minutes later and Midge comes in with Moose. They get the projector ready and everyone begins to watch the movie.
Taking off her windbreaker, Addison lays it on her lap and over Sweet Pea's next to her as a blanket. He looks down at her as she inches her hand under the fabric towards his and smiles. Toni and him exchange a look, but she only raises a brow before turning back to the big screen in front of them.
