Gusion was on patrol this night. He was lying on the roof on one of the watch towers in the Moniyan castle, staring at the twinkling stars.

He put his arms over his head, serving them as a pillow, falling in deep thinking.

It had been months since he left his family– more on like banished from his family.

His family– Paxley– had this beliefs that being a mage was a sacred path and those who used weapons are merely cowards.

But he was fond of daggers, and ever since he was child, he would practice light magic on his daggers.

He thought that the Elders of his family would accept his fighting style when he proved his ability and defeated his opponent on the Rite Passage into Adulthood.

But he was wrong.

Yes, they were amazed. But it wasn't enough for them to accept what he wanted. They made him chose to whether forget his fighting style to stay with his family or keep it and be banished from the family.

Of course, he was a natural rebellious, he chose the latter. Which why he was here in the Moniyan Empire.

He wanted to prove the true extent of his power so he immediately accepted Tigreal's offer to defeat the Dark Abyss.

Gusion sighed. He didn't regret his decisions. He found people in this Empire who accepted him for who he was, without judging him.

He got up to stop himself from thinking. He didn't want to have a headache.

He was fixing his hair when he noticed someone was walking outside the castle.

He squinted his eyes so he could recognize that person who wanted to go out in the middle of the night.

He caught a glimpse of a long magenta hair, and he already knew who it was.

He jumped swiftly from the roof and followed the woman with a magenta who couldn't walk properly because of her casts.

"Where do you think you're going?" He asked while walking beside her.

But she didn't answer, she just continued to walk.

"I'm asking you." He said, trying to be patient which he knew he couldn't.

Because patience and Gusion couldn't be in the same sentence without the word not.

When she still didn't answer, Gusion sighed as he stopped her by holding her shoulders so she could face him.

And he was shocked to see her crying.

"I... want to see my little brother." She whispered while sobbing.

He looked down to her hands, she was clutching the top hat on her chest he didn't noticed she was holding.

Gusion knew she was still emotionally unstable. He took a deep breath, trying to longer his patience.

"Lesley, Tigreal said yes in helping you. And when he said yes, he will really help you." He calmly said.

"P-please... Help me. Help me save my little brother."

Silence filled the room as they just looked at the weeping magenta-haired woman.

They could feel her pain. Fanny's eyes were even pooled with tears as well as Layla and Kimmy, while Harith was already crying.

"Brother–"

"Yes Lesley. We will help you. Don't worry." Tigreal said while he cleared his throat. He could feel his chest tightened as he watched Lesley crying, "But you need to recover first. After that, we will save your little brother."
