(A bit of a gruesome end. Violence, death. Warning ahead)
Another day. Another day I walk through a dangerous neighborhood. Another day I worry if I'll die by a random drive by. I've become so tired of this I don't know if I fear death any more. I know I shouldn't say this for my age but... I don't know how else to explain it.
I walked down the same path I took a few days ago. I'm not going to let TJ and 'Cherry' stop me from educating myself. Maybe, just maybe one I'll be able to get out of this nothing city. With these nothing people.
I had reached TJs house and I saw a whole lot of people on his porch. Usually around here when people gather like that someone important is in town.
"They're here huh?" Bailey whispers in my ear.
"Shi- Bailey!" I screamed whispered almost hitting her for scaring me.
"I heard that the Primary are in town."
The Primary? THE Primary? No way!
The Primary were said to be the most top gang. Having the power of the mob, mafia and gang aesthetics all in one. I mean they are even said to be in the government system. Which isn't hard to believe because I'm this world everyone's just about corrupted.
"Do you think that might be them?"
"I sure hope not. It's already too much here."
"And why is that?" A male voice crept from behind us. Scarring us both.
"Well? Why is it, that you don't want the Primary in town?" It stood a man with flashy clothes that also seemed to give him a important person vibe as well.
Shit! He must work for the Primary.
"I- we- were jus-" the man raised a hand to stop her.
"You two stay here while I handle business, I want to continue our conversation."
"Sir I'm sorry but we can't because we-" I started but stopped because of the threatening glare he gave me which stiffen my spine.
"You two." He pointed to two of his guards which were four.
"Make sure they don't go anywhere."
The men nodded and came closer to us as the other other went with the man.
Shit! He must be the LEADER of the fricking Primary!
"Sorry guys but we have to go." Bailey stayed as pulling me towards the way of the school.
The men just blocked our way and lifted their shirt a bit to show off their guns. Basically telling us they have our lives in their hands.
I hate feeling this way. Feeling trapped and powerless. Those stupid guns people have to walk around with and show off. They don't do anything but kill people!
*
What seemed like forever passed and the man came back out both his body guards.
