Chapter 10

Lights blinded my eyes momentarily as I opened my eyes to the harsh sun. I groaned inwardly and rolled over. I stood up and checked on my phone to see what the time is. Its only 8am, it means I still have 2 hours of preparation. I then proceeded to the bathroom and took a shower.
After I was done, I slipped on a sleeveless denim shirt which has a knot at the end and paired it with a black and white Aztec print bandage skirt. I wore some silver cuffs and a watch to spice up my outfit. I didn’t put make up of course. Since, I’m not used to wearing make ups. I styled my hair into a ballerina bun and slipped on a cream colored brogue. I checked my wrist watch and it’s already 9:15am.
I immediately went to the kitchen and eat. I washed the dirty dishes and rushed back to my room to get my stuffs and took a final glance at the mirror. I looked fine I thought to myself. It was exactly 9:30am when I left the house.
*At the office*
The scent of coffee wafted through the air as I entered the office. People were busy doing their job (DUH) were in plain sight from were I was standing. I stood at the front desk to check if there’s anything for me. Sadly, there was none. I then proceeded to my desk. In my surprise, there lay a bouquet of roses on my desk. I thought they must’ve put it on the wrong table. I checked the mini envelope placed on top of it and it says

It’s for me. My jaw dropped as I saw who it from is. Z? I thought of Zayn the first time I saw the letter ‘Z’ because he’s the only one I know who has a ‘Z’ on his name. See you in a bit? What does that even mean? And why would he give me flowers? This action is so spontaneous. I didn’t even see that coming. I could feel my cheeks burn but then Confusions all over my body. Why would he—then suddenly the door swung open breaking my thoughts and there stood five lads.
“What the hell guys!! You gave me a fright!” I exclaimed.
“Were so sorry, we didn’t mean too frightened you. You know were just excited,” Niall blurted.
“Excited for what?” I asked no one in particular.
“ Well…Uhmm…I was just wondering if you….” Zayn stutter.
“Would like to come with us at the beach” harry continued.
“Hey I was about to say that!” Zayn protested but harry just poked his tongue out at him.
“What can you sa Lauren?” Liam asked looking at me with his puppy eyes which made me give in. Ugh I groaned to myself. Why do these boys has this effect on me? They make me weak.
“Okay,” I smiled but I’m seriously going to regret this. “But how---“ I continued but zany cuts me off by running towards me, covering my mouth. I licked his hands its so gross but I know that’s the only thing that will make him remove his hands from my mouth.
“Aha! That’s what you get! But how? Andy doesn’t know all about this I cant just leave you know,” I whined.
“Do you actually think we wouldn’t ask for Andy’s permission? Smart kid,” Harry teased. I punched him on the shoulders playfully.
“ugh, so I guess I have no choice,” I frowned, murmuring profanities to myself. Why will Andy agree with this? I have a commercial to edit then suddenly my phone rang. I got a new message…. From Andy.
‘Hey Lauren, my love! I’m sorry I wasn’t able to tell you this personally but the boys asked me( begged me) if you could go with them to this beach for 2 weeks. I said its fine with me and you don’t need to worry about the commercial. I can handle it. I’m so sorry! I’ll make it up to you next time! Enjoy your vacay with the boys! Stay safe!
