"Right, but you were also raised as a human. Your father...my boss, Raised you as a human. He wanted to protect you from other creatures being out there." He started when he said my father was his boss; I gave him this confused look because I didn't know what he was talking about. I didn't even know that he knew my family, let alone my father.
I had looked at him with a raised brow as if to tell him to carry on with his story, I'd curl up and lean against the arm of the couch while I waited for him to continue talking. "As I said, he wanted to protect you from these other creatures, so you were raised as a human-" I interrupted him. "Then what am I? You keep saying I was raised human but you still haven't told me what I am." I nearly growled out, waiting for a response.
"Temper, Princess." He growled back. Temper or not, He doesn't need to beat around the bush to get his point across. "I was getting there." He said with a deep breath and rested his head on his hand and looked at me. "You are a wolf, more specifically a werewolf." He said almost like it was nothing as if I should have known, but I didn't know, how could I have known? I couldn't remember anything before that night, everything was a blur, no matter how hard I tried to remember anything but the screaming and yelling.
I gave him a dumbfounded look as I tried to process and take in everything that he was saying, I didn't believe a single word that he'd been saying. He has been following me most, if not all of my life, so why should I believe what he's saying now?
I sat up a bit more, still slightly dumbfounded as I tried to process everything that he was telling me. "Why don't I remember anything before that night? You'd think I remember, but why can't I?"I had asked while still looking at him, my head hurting from all this knowledge that had just been given to me.
He moved to sit up a bit more, leaning forward, hands clasped together. "Because I took that memory away. If you were to be raised as a human, you didn't need to have the memory of your wolf. She's still there, aching to come out, but she hasn't been able to because if you knew about her then there would have been no point in raising you as a human." He stated it like it was some obvious comment that should have been realized earlier. "You meet her by the need to fight, the need to save and protect yourself. That's how the wolf within you comes out. She is that shield that you were born with. We don't need any other armor besides our shield and our pack." He said. "There's more of us, they know of you, the pack doesn't know you're alive though," he said, sitting back while all I could do was nod.
