"I'm here because you're in danger." He said with a weird twinkle in his eyes, almost as if there was the guilt of some form, but what would he be guilty of besides ruining my life, literally. I couldn't tell, but I also didn't know what to think or say. I knew I was in danger and it was his fault. he is a danger that I shouldn't be around.

"Yeah, I knew that," I muttered, leaving my door open and walked back into my apartment. "I've been running from you since I was 12, dumbass," I said, leaning against the arm of my couch. "What more do you want?" I nearly growled out as I watched him walk into my apartment, his footsteps silent, but the floorboards beneath him giving away. "For once, it's not me you should be running from, 'Princess.'" He snarked with a growl in return. "There's..worse than me, far more dangerous than me." He began. "And trust me when I say this. When that creature gets ahold of you, there's no protecting you, there's no keeping you safe, no running, and no help from anyone else." He said kind of sounding like it was all in one breath.

With a sigh, I shrugged my shoulders and looked up at him, "When you say 'creature', what are you referring to?" I asked in a tone of both curiosity and annoyance, moving around the couch to sit in which he followed, but sat in the chair next to the couch. "Meaning: nothing human, something that won't regret killing you. Something that has no feelings."

As he spoke, I tilted my head. Not in confusion or anything, just to analyze and take in what he was saying because it was starting to sound like a lot of nonsense, as I tried to piece it together while he spoke. "So like some mythical creature? Like a vampire or a werewolf?" I had asked in all seriousness, my eyes were scanning his face for any sign of sarcasm. "Yes, exactly." He simply stated. "A mythical creature. Just like yourself and myself. However, Sarah. We are two very different creatures" he said while using finger quotations around the word.

"Wait, what?" I squeaked out as I responded. "What do you mean me? I'm, not some weird creature. I'm human. I grew up with family, brothers, sisters, and friends. There's no way I'm some creature." I continued. "If I was this so-called "creature" I wouldn't have gotten sick or hurt or even injured if I was a creature. Right?" I used my fingers to put quotation marks around the word creature as he had, while the words flew out of my mouth with sarcasm. I didn't believe him. I had no right to. "If I was a creature or whatever I wouldn't need to sleep or do essential things that humans would need to survive," I stated as he watched me. "You can believe what you want Sarah, but I'm speaking nothing but the truth."
