1.03 dead in the water

Humanity is held in an egotistical choke, with many simply looking out for themselves and how their own life will be determined at the end. The people we marry are there because we seek them out, same with the people we kill. Love, wrath are engaged with the same determination, however a different ending. The line has always been blurred.

Many people, like Aledis, are filled with wrath and even some drive it to the end of their lives, and after. Continuing their meek purpose in this earth, excused as unfinished business.

The wrath Aledis carried was curable, but that didn't mean she wanted it gone. Her anger reminded her of the saddening responsibilities she carried and might have to carry until, and past the end.

Her path with the Winchesters didn't stop with the Wendigo's end. Even if they wanted her gone, mostly Dean, Aledis did have a talent of tracking people down.

"Do you know where that pen has been before you stuck it into your mouth?" She asked as she entered the diner inside the roadside motel the hunters where staying at.

Dean was frowning and cursing under his breath, staring at Aledis with a glare she knew too well already. "Can't you just leave us alone?"

"Afraid not. Hello Sam."

"Hey Aledis."

Dean stared at their mutual greeting in disgust and sighed deeply, "Here, take a look at this. I think I got one." He pointed out at the newspaper, signalling to his brother.

"Lake Manitoc, Wisconsin. Sophie Carlton, right?" Aledis finished, having already found the case early on that day.

"Yes," He grunted, rolling his eyes, "Sophie Carlton, 18. Walks into the lake, doesn't walk out. Authorities dragged the water-- nothing."

"She's the third drowning this year, the water ate them up as well." Aledis contributed, having been cut off by the eldest.

"They had a funeral two days ago."

"A funeral?" Sam asked.

"They buried an empty coffin, for closure or whatever." Dean answered.

"Closure?"

"Funny isn't it? Quite pointless to me." Aledis commented.

"And why is that?" Dean asked defensively.

"Guess I'm just a soulless bitch." She shrugged and ordered an espresso.

"What closure?" Sam spat out, gaining his brothers attention, "People don't just disappear, Dean. Other people just stop looking for them."

"Something you want to say to me?" Dean asked.

Aledis took that as her cue to exit, she downed her coffee and stepped outside for a smoke. The constant bickering and angst the brothers carried could drive a priest to a wall.
