2. Current Affairs

 Rumors are many, but how many of them might be true? A Kobold, that single handily slew a Great ancient Wyrm to take over its riches. Or but a humble hermit who defended his home from a war party of giants. Not all is as it looks.

 There are tight-knit groups of every race to be found on the planet Drayce. From the living rock men, whom they call Warforged, to the four-armed bugs called Thri-Kreen. 

  The land and oceans of Drayce were formed from the dragon's fall. Where primordial dragon eggs fell from the sky as meteors. The primordial gods of the elements would not have just dragon rule over this vast planet, so set forth Giants to rise from the mists.

  Both the giants and dragons built vast cities, and they ruled over the lesser races. Both bred and experimented with the other races, trying to come up with an edge so one or the other could rule supreme.

  The Warforged were created in this manner. Many are still in long-forgotten areas laying dormant. Awaiting to be awakened. May a god take pity on them and revive them all as their own race.

  The Kobolds and Dragonborn were but the first to rebel and forge their own empires. About this, the giantkin also rebelled and forged their own nations. With them, they brought Dragon and Giant slayer weapons to bear.

  Later, the orcs and goblin kind struck out on their own forming nations of their own. They also destroyed many of the keystones that activated the teleporter systems the Giants and Dragons used for quick travel. In doing so they slew and destroyed the means of creating these items. limiting travel throughout the planet.

  This has created an age of exploration that has revealed many cities and smaller nations of other races. It has also weakened and thinned out the previous nations from war. Many places have been found to realize that this planet with two moons contains a vast array of were creatures upon it.

  Not all the portals created for teleportation were for travel on the planet. Some are unstable relics linking the planet to other planets. So be wary of stepping through any gateway or doorway surrounded by mystical runes.

 So begins the age of exploration and trade. May good fortune and luck be on you and as the gods smile down and watch what is to become. Least of all do not forget about the primordial powers to be, as Luna herself watches overall with her sister Gaia.
