It's positive.

She looked down at the test and thought of all the wrong that could have happened and how it has happened. She was only 16. She wondered how this could have happened; they were safe. It was only her first time.

She put the wrapper on the now used test and shoved it into her hoodie pocket. She left the bathroom and walked back to the kitchen where her boyfriend and his mom were standing, waiting for her. She smiled happily as to show that nothing was wrong.

"So?" he said anxiously.

"We're okay," she said with fake joy laced in her voice.

"So am I gonna be mad?" his mom says, walking back into the kitchen after serving the kids their dinner.

"Nope," the couple said in unison.

"Good," his mom said in annoyance, "Don't let this happen again."

With that, they walked to his room. She sat on his bed, letting her face fall. He gave her a knowing look.

"Lilith, tell me what's wrong," he said with a somewhat demanding tone.

Instantly the tears began to fall as she removed the test from her pocket. She set the wrapped test in front of him and buried her face in her hands. As silent sobs wracked her body, she felt warmth wrap around her. Her body instantly relaxed. He shushed her and slowly rocks them back and forth.

"What are we gonna do, Luke?" she said brokenly.

"Everything will be okay, we'll figure this out," he said with the bravest voice he could muster.

On the inside, Luke was terrified. He didn't know what to do. His only thought is that they could not tell either of their parents. His mom threatened while Lilith was in the bathroom that he would have to enlist if the test was positive. He knew that would break her if he left her to deal with this on her own. She would be alone seeing as her guardians have already told her multiple times, which if she ended up like her mother, that they would kick her out. All he wanted to do right now was to calm her down. Luke hated when she cried. It made him feel so useless to watch as she breaks.

With a slow movement, he rested his hand on the back of her head and began to massage his hand through her hair. He felt her start to relax slowly.

"Why did you lie?" he said in a soft tone as to not startle his beauty.

"So you wouldn't have to leave me..."

Luke let out a sigh and kissed her head, " I love you."

Lilith nuzzled her face into his chest as a way of showing her response.

After some time, her sobs turned to loose tears. She pulled away, gripping Luke's shirt. They stared at each other for a moment. Luke still seemed to have the look of awe he always had when he saw her. It was a relief to her.

"What are we going to do?" she said filling the silence.

"I honestly don't know."

With a sigh Lilith laid on his bed, him following suit. She laid on her back and stared at his ceiling. Luke rested himself on his side, facing his world. Yes, she may be broken, but she is his everything. Mixed emotions ran through both the youth's minds. Curiosity struck Luke, and he couldn't help himself, he hesitantly placed his hand on her lower stomach. She looked at him with a puzzled gaze.

"You did say you wanted kids someday. Maybe that time is now," he said with a nervous chuckle.

Her expression instantly changed into one of disbelief and love. She let out a small laugh and placed her hand on his, "I did, but I didn't expect it so early."

"Me too, Love."

With that, the silence filled the room.

They laid like that for what felt like hours, enjoying their shared silence. Luke's hand brushed through Lilith's hair as their hands lay unmoving on her stomach.

It's been a month. No one knows, yet. Lilith planned on telling everyone soon; she just needed to figure out how. There was something off about today. The symptoms were gone and replaced with intense pain.

Lilith shot Luke a text, explaining her feelings. She didn't want to think of the worst, but that's all that filled her mind. She's had anxiety all her life yet never knew it could feel this bad. Minutes felt like hours. She watched the clock in every class, wishing that it would end. Once the bell rang, she was gone.

Her heart raced as she rode the bus home. Her ears rang with the chatter around her, yet she couldn't make out what was being said. All she could think about was the unknown. The anticipation almost killed her on the spot. The walk home from the bus stop seemed longer than usual. Once home she sprinted to the bathroom.

Blood. It was gone.

No one knew, and no one will ever know.
