(Short chapter today because I have a good idea for the next chapter and it will be longer but to make that happen, I don't want to give to much detailed things for the next chapter. I hope you all understand)
When Aaron and I got home, Mom was the first person to run up to me. She looked shocked and worried. "Oh my Irene! Are you okay?!" she asks frantically. If you didn't know this, my parents and I don't have the best relationship, well at least me and Father don't.
"Do I look okay?" I say smarting off. She looks taken back but shrugs it off. Father was not having it though.
"That's no way to talk to your mother. Apologize. Now," he warns. I get out of Aaron's arms and just limp up to my room. I sit at my bay window, only to see it's dark out, with stormy clouds. When we left, it was seventh period. So it's probably about 4 o'clock right now. I decide to take a small nap.
~~TIME SKIP TO ABOUT 7 O'CLOCK~~
I go downstairs, to see my father there along side my mother. I decide to not eat tonight and just sit in the lounge room. "Are you going to eat dear?" mom ask.
"If I was, don't you think I would be sitting at the dining table with you to?" I snap back. Father stands up and walks over to me, looking at me in the eyes.
"I don't know what your problem is, but it needs to stop, along with your smart comments. That is no way to treat your mother and everything she and we have done for you," He says. I decide to challenge him and I lean forwards with my elbows on my knees while I look up at him.
"Ya, and what exactly did you do for me, besides being a terrible father to me? Treating me different from Aaron and Melissa? Is it because I'm younger," I pause for effect, "or do you just hate me in general?" I finish and the next thing he did, hurt me. Mentally and physically. He slapped me. Right on my left side of my face, as hard as he could. And honestly, if you have ever been slapped, it hurts. But with ultima strength, it hurts ten times more than a human slap. Tears threatened to fall but I refuse to cry over this man.
"You do not talk to me like that!" He yells. "You shall show me the respect and honor I deserve! Not only because I am an elder, but because I am your father!"
I stand up and look him dead in the eyes. I then say quietly, "You lost the right of being my father, the moment you decided to control my life." It may have been barely audible for people around, but I know he heard it. His eyes widened in shock. But even if it was quiet, you could tell it had so much meaning and power by the way I said it.
(Sorry, I know it's short, but another chapter will be out either today or tomorrow. Hope you enjoy! -Loner)
