BANG
"Noooo!" Scarlett Wolf screamed. "Daddy! Daddy, wake up! Daddy, please!" Tears started streaming down Scarlett's face as blood poured out of her father's bullet wound. He'd been shot. Killed by men in white clothing.
They picked up his body and put Scarlett in a cage. She didn't know where they had taken her or what they had done with her father's body. All she knew was that she would be at this place, they called 'The Workshop', for a very long time.

Scarlett opened her eyes. She looked at the clock. 2 am. The guards should have been swapping duties, which gave her 5 minutes. It was time to make her move. She got dressed and quickly shoved everything she owned into her bag, which wasn't much. It was only some clothes, a couple of essentials, and a picture of her mum and dad holding her as a baby. She also made sure to put on the necklace her dad had given her when she was little.
She grabbed her bag and headed for the bedroom door. Over the past few days, she had learnt all the combinations to all the locks in the place. She quickly unlocked the door and headed for the exit. It was dark as she walked through the halls of what she called her home for the past 10 years, but the walls were painted bright white, so it illuminated her way enough so she didn't crash.
As she punched in the last digit to unlock the final door, an alarm blared. She opened the door and ran for the fence where she had cut a hole earlier in the week. She squeezed through the gap in the fence and ran with all her energy. She didn't know where she was going, but she didn't look back.
After about an hour of non-stop running, she made it to an airport. All though she had never physically been to an airport, she had been taught about them in her schooling sessions in The Workshop. She didn't have any money on her to buy a ticket, so she created a gap in the fence, crawled through and ran to one of the aeroplanes.
Scarlett didn't know where the plane was going, but she climbed into the landing gear and made herself comfortable before the plane started to move.
She spent the first hour of the journey making a harness for herself. In her time at The Workshop, she had learnt what happened to stowaways on planes. Once the landing gear opened again, they'd fall to their deaths. Scarlett had found a rope, tied it around herself and found a place to attach it to the inside of the aeroplane. Falling to her death was not on the agenda for today.
After making the harness, she let the hum of the engine lull her to sleep.
