He had to tell them sooner or later. James and Alicha Vang were getting divorced and James had to tell his parents about it. But he knew that both his parents would take Alicha's side. He knew that he didn't love Alicha anymore, but Alicha still loved him so much. When he first told Alicha that he wanted to get a divorce, she went crazy. She was in tears. She started lashing.
Now he had to tell his parents.
'Well, lets get this over with.' James thought to himself. Then he opened up the door to his parents house. He had told his parents that he had something to tell them. They agreed on this time. He wasn't looking forward to this but he knew that he would have to tell them at one point.
"Hello James." His mother, Mrs. Vang, said with her sickly sweet voice.
"Hello mother. Can I come in?" He asked.
"Yes." She said, holding the door open even more so that he could come in.
"How have you been. mother?" He said coming into the living room.
"Good. Your father should be here soon." She said. Then it went really quiet and very acward. Then a man about 30 came into the room.
"Hello father." James said turning towards his father. His father just grunted. Then he came and sat in a big chair in a corner of the room.
"So what did you want boy?" The father asked, James in a rough voice. James gulped.
"Well I wanted to tell you all that Alicha and I are getting a divorce." He said, seeming to find the floor very interesting. After a few moments of silence. he lifted his head to see his parents faces to this information. His father had the same look that he always had. No emotions showing on his face. But his mother on the other hand, had a look of surprise. This was not that surprising since it was her who introduced them. She had grown fond of Alicha over the 3 years that they were married. But even if she didn't want them to divorce, then she would have to deal with it. They already have all the paperwork figured out. It would take about a year.
"How did Alicha react to this?" His mother whispered.
"Not well." James said back, scratching the back of his neck.
"Well I agree with Alicha on this." His mother said in a very snooty tone.
'Just as I thought. They took her side.' He thought to himself. He just sighed.
