Special Cuts
The razor in her hand. It was covered in blood, along with her arm. She had cuts running along her arms. The blood on her arms was also mixed with tears and she was still crying.
While still crying she got a towel and cleaned up her arm and razor. She dried her eyes and laid in her bed. She just laid there starting at the ceiling. Eventually she fell asleep.
When she woke up the next morning, she sighed. She hoped she wouldn’t wake up. But she was still here, so she got ready for school. She still had to go to school even if she didn’t want to. She had hoped that she won’t have to go and face them.
She got on the bus and sat in the back by a window. She put her headphones in and started out the window. She kept like this until she felt a tap on her shoulder. She took out her headphones and looked, expecting the worst. But the only thing that was there was a girl. She didn’t recognize her so she that this girl might be new.
“Can I sit here? All the other seats are taken.” The girl asked.
“Yeah sure.” She said.
“My name is Cassie. I just moved here. What’s your name?” Cassie asked.
“Kayla.” She said. After that there was a silence between them. This went on until they got to school.
“So I’ll see you later?” Cassie asked.
“It’s best if you just stay away from me.” Kayla said walking away. Cassie looked after her with sadness in her eyes.
“Well look who it is. It’s the emo.” A girl behind Kayla said. Kayla turned around, already knowing who it was.
“Brittney, can you just leave me alone?” Kayla said. The girl, Brittney, shaked her head sadly even though Kayla knew that she wasn’t sad about it.
“I’m sorry but I cannot do that. We have to get you back for yesterday.” Brittney said a sad tone to her voice. Kayla paled. She knew this was not good. They thought that she was the one who put laxatives in there food.
“But that wasn’t me.” Kayla said hurriedly.
“Well since we don’t know who it was, I guess you’re doing them a favor.” Brittney said, punching Kayla. Kayla fell on the floor from the punch. Brittney and her “friends” all toke turns kicking and punching her.
But the end of it she was lying on the ground, very close to tears. Brittney and her “friends” all just laughed and walked away.
Once they were out of sight, Kayla started to get up. She was slow but she was working on it. Once she got up, the bell rang. Kayla let out a breath. She didn’t want to walk though everyone to get to the nurse. So she waited a little bit to let everyone get to there classes. Then after a little, she started her long walk to the nurse.
On her way there, she ran into Cassie. Kayla could see the horror in her eyes.
“What happened?!” Cassie exclaimed.
“Nothing you need to worry about.” Kayla snaped.
“Here let me help you get to the nurse.” Cassie said reaching out to help. Kayla flinched back and closed her eyes waiting for a hit that would never come. Cassie’s eyes filled with sadness that this had happened.
“I’m not going to hit you.” Cassie said, sympathy in her voice.
“Oh.” Was all that Kayla said as she blushed. Cassie then helped to get Kayla to the nurse and then stayed with her while the nurse patched her up. Once she was done the two were sent to class with a note for their teachers.
“So what class do you have?” Cassie asked. Kayla stayed quiet. They each parted ways and they went on with their day.
When Kayla got home she went to her room right away. Neither of her parents said anything. She always did this. She was not really downstairs ever. Once she was in her room she locked the door and went to the spot where she had her razor. She then started cutting. It was her daily thing. She would wake up, go to school, get home and then she would cut.
She dragged the razor against her arm slowly. The blood was dripping from the wounds that she had made on herself. She than started crying. Her tears were mixing in with her own blood.
When she was finished, she grabbed a towel and wiped her arm. The she wiped her eyes to erase that she was even crying. She looked at the pocket knife that was sitting on her desk. She was staring at it. She was wondering who would miss her if she took the knife and killed herself. No one that she knew of would care.
She picked up the knife and opened it.
Thanks for reading. This was something I made in school. It is a bully awareness thing. I've always taken bullying very seriously. The ending is for you to decide though.
