Chapter 10: Monster of the Ruins

"Mario, I can feel it calling... The Pure Heart is nearby... But wait... I sense something else emanating from the sand dunes... Be careful now, Mario... Something else is waiting for us ahead..." Tippi said as they were walking on the old hallways of the ruin. It almost looked like Bowser's castle or fort. Mario went ahead to find a bunch of squigs and Buzzy Beetles that walk from the ground and the ceiling.

He dodge them all and started kicking the shells everywhere. Then he encountered a bunch of those blocks that summons a line of Fireballs spinning around it, so he flipped to avoid them. Then he found himself next to a locked door and was looking everywhere for a secret key. Then he found the key in a secret passage when he flipped so he opened the door and found himself in front of a pipe. He went up, leading him outside to another part of the desert. Then he saw a door a few distances away. When he took a few steps forward, the ground began to rumble as a giant robotic dragon rose up from the sand. 

This is the dragon that appeared from the sand

"WARNING!" the dragon said in a robotic voice as it rose from the sand. "INTRUSION DETECTED! LEAVE IMMEDIATELY OR BE PURGED!" Then it noticed something odd. "WAIT. SCAN INITIALIZED.   RED CAP DETECTED. BLUE OVERALLS DETECTED. LEVEL 5 MUSTACHE DETECTED." it said as it was scanning Mario. "INCREDIBLE. POSSIBLE SUBJECT IDENTIFICATION. BUT IT IS IMPOSSIBLE. OLD YOUR POSITION. SEARCHING DATA BANKS. " it said, then it began searching through its files. When the searching was completed, it was shocked. "SEARCH COMPLETE: ONE POSITIVE MATCH. SYSTEM OVERLOAD! LEGENDARY HERO IDENTIFIED!" it said in shock. Then it began to introduce itself. "FORGIVE ME, HERO. I AM CALLED FRACKTAIL. MY ONLY PURPOSE IS TO DEFEND THE PURE HEART FROM LAWLESS INTRUDERS. YOU ARE LATE. I HAVE WAITED THOUSANDS OF YEARS FOR YOUR ARRIVAL. YOU MAY PASS. THE PURE HEART IS AHEAD." it said as it allowed Mario to pass it. But then, a "childish" voice came out. "Ah ha ha. It won't be that easy, oh no..." the mysterious voice said. Fracktail was troubled and it prepared to defend itself. "WHO SPEAKS?" the mighty dragon said. Then someone who looks like a jester appeared out of no where.
