The Ruined Lands where they'd found Jarid was not too far from the Headquarters. Well, not by flying. Letting the darkness stick to her skin, she activated part of her Rubick's Cube, turning one side blue and searched for Wizard Grayhound's pulse.

She found him easily, hidden in the moon rays by the oil pond on the far end of the rocky plains below her. Oil ponds were common on AERA7-0 because humans lacked motivation to do anything about the toxins, so it all collected into little ponds of black oil with yellow streaks of toxins. If the mixture didn't have any carcass residue, Two would have gladly taken a sip.

Wizard Grayhound folded the moon rays and came out from between the particles. He had sensed her. Well, why wouldn't he? They had dated for two years which was almost double the amount if converted to AERA7-0 Time.

Two cracked the shield of darkness and let it melt beneath her feet. "Wizard Grayhound," she said. "What the bloody hell are you doing?" She didn't hold back from her accent because her censors told her no other life form existed in the perimeter and beyond.

Using her flashlight, Two illuminated the little area they stood in. Wizard Grayhound was still just as human-handsome as she remembered—dark wavy hair, beautiful blue eyes, and a smile that any girl Stellian or not, would think was cute especially with those dimples. But he was born with Weird Humor Syndrome or WHS, a sorry development disorder in some Stellians which caused them to think outside the outside of the box a little too much.

"I thought you had gotten better." Two shook her head, disappointed at him.

"Good to see you, too, Two," he said and chuckled. "Still just as strict and pushy as I remember."

"Oh, bloody hell," she said and rolled her eyes. "You're not taking your medicine anymore."

"The Humor Correction Pills are gone. I threw them away. I don't need them. Besides, humans need our creativity. How can we do that to ourselves? They need us to be bonkers," he argued and touched his Rubick's Cube that was on his neck—a trait only WHS Stellians had.

Two tapped her foot as she waited for his slow transformation as if turning complete Stellian was going to win him this argument. "You can't go reviving the Green Men or making Tree Things. Those are destructive. You have to use non-destructive things," she said.

Wizard Grayhound shook the light off and Two jumped away as his censor strings came out to touch her. "Oh, come on, give me a hug, because I Stellove you," he said laughing at his own sorry joke.

Two leapt into the air and floated back down. "Never going to put up with you again and you are going to stop this nonsense and take your medicine. I can make ten replicas right now and you will take two of them." Two opened her LogBook and took out a bottle of Immediacy Pills that could be altered into anything as long as she knew the code of the medicine's constellation properties.

And, she did, of course. As Two worked the mechanics of the medicine, Wizard Grayhound came over to stand next to her. "I smell your memory," he said. "You Stella kissed another Stellian!"

"Shut up," Two muttered and finished the pill. But Wizard Grayhound zipped up his mouth with a zipper refusing to take them, before she could shove them down his throat. Plan A was gone, so she had no choice but to go with Plan B.

Popping them into her mouth, she swiftly extended her censors—something she could do without turning complete Stellian—and grabbed hold of him. As he protested against her hold, she pulled him close and bit down hard on his neck, letting the mechanical medicines use the wound as a way to get into his system. At the same time, she sucked some of his powers out so he couldn't do anymore damage.

"MMMMM!!!!" he said, and she released him, wiping her mouth. His identity powers seeped into her system and she used her electronic nodes to destroy them without a trace.

Within seconds he was back to his humanness and sat on the ground shivering. Two advanced on him, but he shook his head. "I'll take the medicine. I promise, Two. Just don't do that again."

"Here, you know how to replicate," she said and handed him the eight other Humor Correction Pills. "I still hate you," she said and turned her back. Wizard Grayhound called to her and when she looked back, he was sobbing.

"Please don't tell the Director what happened. And, I'll take care of the Tree Things. I will. I won't go that direction anymore, I promise, just give me a chance again." He was saying good-sensed things meaning the medicine was already helping.

"Well, we have one more year. Hold up until then. Once we get back, you're going straight back to Electroid Rehabilitation Center to get your mind rewired. For the moment, take your medicine or I'll suck more power out of your system," Two said in Stellenai and flew back up, congealing darkness around her.

"Mission completed," she said quietly and hurried back to Headquarters before anyone realized she was missing.
