Through the forest they went following a green lizard and Two felt like she was searching for Waldo all the time and finding it like a level ten sort of game than a level one. It didn't help that Dr. Lorkhead constantly tried to talk to Genji while she was trying to use the Translation Earphones, but soon they came up behind a large totem pole.
"This is the clock," Genji said, pointing up at the giant totem pole. It was most certainly a clock—a clock totem pole with clocks of all sizes one on top of the other in a tower. Here, Two could feel the time changing all around her and the patch of sky right above the totem pole was changing rapidly from day to noon to night.
Two saw two men in on a little silvery plate on top of the totem clock tower and suddenly Dr. Lorkhead gasped and told them to hide.
"What's wrong?" Jarid said but did as he was told only to echo the gasp. Two could see him, too. Beyond the field of the totem pole, coming through the trees was none other than—
"Koga Fizzleweedo!" Genji squeaked and Two put her finger to her mouth telling him to be quiet. But the lizard had just freaked out. He dropped his Translation Earphones and actually ran out into the field calling, "Koga Fizzleweedo, Koga Fizzleweedo!" over and over.
"Mitsuketa! (I found them!)" he said. "Soko! Soko! (There! There!)" he said over and over and Two could see he was pointing to where Two and Jarid and Dr. Lorkhead were hiding. Suddenly, the spiky-haired, greenish-skinned, magnified-eyeballed, Coger Fiskleweed took out a weapon that Two recognized as the Instant Changer Randomizer and it's many clock-shaped dials and antennae sticking out. He messed with the dials and shot a purple and orange laser at Genji who instantly changed into a man while running.
He stopped running to examine his human body fully clothed in a smart black suit. "Modotta! (I'm back!)"
Dr. Lorkhead said to Two, "He said he's back. I think he had been human to fool us into thinking we had met Coger Fiskleweed's experiment."
Two scowled. "Smart."
"Indeed," came Coger Fiskleweed's scratchy and thin magnified voice into her ear. He had been using his Eavesdropping Maxifier which he stole from Dr. Lorkhead before he was captured. Obviously, not in prison anymore.
"Do you want to know how I escaped prison? It was easy. I had a mini version of my Instant Changer Randomizer and turned into a pigeon. They let me out. You should be more careful, Two Three."
"Leader?" Jarid said to her and Two's mind was whirring with ideas. Unlike the talking eagles, unlike the sharkpeople that were bullying the merpeople, unlike any of the other villains they had captured or made better, Coger Fiskleweed was one of the smart ones.
It was understandable considering he was from her school. He wouldn't know though, because she had entered years after he left. Two knew a few dropouts from her school that took Creativity too far.
"I finally have time in the palm of my hand!" He said and laughed with his head back. "I now have all the control I have ever wanted!"
Two stood up. Jarid looked worried, but she shook her head. "Plan A," she said and walked out of the hiding spot. Dr. Lorkhead was already gone, knowing what she meant. She was going to try to buy time until Dr. Lorkhead could come back with her thing for her plan.
"Dr. Fiskleweed, it has been a long time since I saw you," she said with a smile, holding up her hands to show she had no weapons—except for a little Rubick's Cube which was really a last resort to use against him because it would also blow her identity.
Coger Fiskleweed laughed at her appearance. "Looks like she's been through a crash! Did you enjoy the water? Okinawa is nice now that it's never summer!"
