(The bolded lines are the points that would need to be refuted or agreed with in game)

The person who killed Katashi Muto, the Ultimate Surfer, is one of us.

"Now let's begin with a short explanation of the class trial. You have to use all the evidence you collected during the investigation to solve the murder. At the end, you have to vote for who you believe to be the blackened. If you choose the right person, only they will be executed. BUT THAT'S BORING, if you vote incorrectly, everyone except the blackened will be executed. The blackened will get to graduate." Monokuma explained, "now, the class trial is in session!"

"Shall we begin with discussing the murder weapon?" Susumu began, in his disturbing accent.

"It's impossible to figure that out," Gorou looked down, defeatedly.

"Yeah, the bloody knife found at the scene was a fake, right?" Kotone crossed her arms.

"Well, the bloody knife is a fake, but that doesn't mean the murder weapon wasn't a knife." I said, recalling Kaoru and Naoki's search in the kitchen.

"Oh do tell," Rokuro rolled his eyes.

"Actually there was a knife in the kitchen that matched with the fake knife exactly. And it had some light red stains on it." I showed everyone the knife.

"Maybe that is the murder weapon, but how are we sure that it wasn't Manami who just used fake blood from Eiko's lab." Rokuro smirked.

"Eiko's lab doesn't have fake blood. I thought that's what happened to the knife too, but there's no fake blood in his lab. Right Eiko?"

"Yeah, I looked, There was none." He confirmed. "Plus for fake blood to look even close to real blood, it has to be refrigerated. There's no refrigerator in my lab." Eiko explained

"The only refrigerator is in the kitchen and someone would've noticed fake blood by now." Kaoru expanded.

REBUTTAL SHOWDOWN

"That's a lie!" Aimi yelled at me.

"....no it's not?" I said, confusion coating my tone like a pill.

"You could've been working with Eiko to commit this murder!"

"Why would I do that?"

"So you can both graduate together!"

"Impossible," I retorted, "Monokuma told us that only one blackened can graduate and an accomplice would be pointless." Everyone looked relieved and Aimi stared at the ground dejectedly.

——

"So we've confirmed that knife is the murder weapon, but what about fact that my lab was locked?" Eiko asked.

"That was a fake, wasn't it?" Kaoru asked, looking towards me.

"Pfft, are you really believing this crap?" Kameko asked, leaning against her podium.

"Don't be so quick to refute something, Kameko. I agree, it was. It was just foam." I nodded.

"Thinking about it, I found a real lock in the box of fake locks in Eiko's lab." Yumi placed a finger on her cheek as she spoke.

"But that doesn't lead us to a suspect?" Kameko smirked, "isn't that what we need?"

"We have to discuss the entire case first." I glared at her. Kameko was proving to be a nuisance.

"Kameko is correct; why don't we just vote for a random person?" Susumu laughed to himself.

"No, I'm not committing suicide like that." I slammed a hand on the podium. I was draining myself, and I just couldn't think. I put my head down. "Maybe we should just vote." I felt Naoki's eyes burning into me. He could tell I was defeated.
