"Dazai-san said something about going to investigate about the president's injury..." Atsushi cospired as you, him and Kyouka walked down the sidewalk towards the alley Dazai should currently be in. You actually feared for his safety considering the fact that he is all by himself with the chance of being targeted by the alleged "masked assassin". Even the boss of the agency has fallen ill to the attack and he was one of the most careful out of the agency. But seeing that this was an abilitant's attack Dazai should be fine... right? Suddenly a certain spot on the concrete in front of you caught your eye, dried blood stains.

I should know, but it's cold

"This is where the director was attacked." Kyouka blankly stated. You nod in answer before following the trail into the dark, empty alleyway.

"Dazai-san?" Atsushi called out into the air. No response. You hoped it was Dazai just deciding to play a trick on the three of you, but it didn't stop your anxiety from taking affect of your hands as they began to tremble slightly. Kyouka looked at you with her question unsaid but you just waved her off and continued walking until you saw an apple on the ground with a chunk of it having had been bitten out by someone. You hesitantly shrugged it off before continuing and before long you had reached the end of the alley. It was then at that moment when the world around you stopped as you dropped to your knees and began to scream.

Within seconds Kyouka and Atsushi had caught up with you alarmed at your sudden outbreak of panic. Then both saw what lay in front of you. It was Dazai lying on his stomach, blood pooling beneath him coming from a supposed wound on his hip, and blood leaking from his mouth. You couldn't stop screaming as your breaths came out in hysterical pants, you felt as if you were going to pass out, he's hurt! Did the assassin somehow manage to hurt him?!?!?!

So show me the way home

"DAZAI!!!" You suddenly screamed out realizing that you were crying. Kyouka put a hand on your shoulder in a supporting manner while Atsushi went to check his pulse. Whoever hurt him is going. to. pay.

"He's alive..." Atsushi sighed in relief, "Kyouka-chan, call the hospital."

Without saying a word Kyouka pulled out her phone and dialed the hospital. You crawled forward slightly and cradled Dazai's upper body in your arms, wiped away the blood from his mouth before bending down to kiss his lips which for once didn't respond. You began to cry more holding the brunette's head to your chest as if you were showing him how to stay alive. Atsushi only just stood there idly with Kyouka, both silently praying that he would make it to the hospital.

"Stay with me Dazai..." You sobbed.
