Moments in life; Osamu Dazai

Season 3 is over :( 

BUT THIS MAN IS STILL THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING I'VE EVER SEEN!

I found Dazai alone on the ocean-liner deck, his attention focused on the setting sun as its rays cast over the city. Standing beside him I beheld the anguished expression that his face showed and the memories of a deceased friend clouded my mind. 'He's thinking about him again...' Before I could offer my support he turned to me and just smiled.

"Atsushi challenged Akutagawa not to kill anyone for six months, and I presume you know what that means?"

"A Mafia member who doesn't kill..."

"Exactly." Dazai nodded sadly before holding out his arm and tucking me into his side, his chin resting overtop my head. I just breathed him in and let myself relax in his embrace while his thumb stroked soothing circles onto my shoulder as if we had the rest of our lives to relax like this. But judging that this was the Detective agency and the feud with the Decay of Angels was far from over it wouldn't be peaceful for long. Hopefully during that time I could forget that moment that still plagued me in my sleep and that I would finally come to terms with the fact that He is here, living. I didn't notice how tense I became until Dazai put both hands on my shoulders and looked me in the eyes.

"I'm here (name), this is all real. We did it." My beloved flashed me one of those angelic smiles and held me against his chest. He gave my forehead a quick peck before his grip around me tightened.

"Dazai... I- I never want to feel that way again." My tears threatened to spill at how close I was to losing him that day. "Had me, Atsushi and Kyouka arrived any later and-"

"But you came in time." Dazai said softly. "And that's all I actually care about, the fact that I'm here with you right now and get to be until death will do our part."

"We're not married Dazai..."

"I know, I know!" The brunette laughed. "But if I asked you what would you say?"

"Of course I'd say yes!" I gaped and smacked his arm playfully while he just hugged me again.

"I love you (name)...

Will you marry me?"
