Air was beginning to struggle getting to your lungs, her grip on your throat was tight. Of all people to deceive you in the mafia it had to be her. There wasn't anymore of that kindness that shone in her eyes, it must've been fake much like her smile that she deceived you with. You mentally curse yourself as your hands went to try prying her own away from your neck. You grit your teeth when her hands don't budge.

"Wh- why... are you doing this to me..." The words were barely getting out, "H- Higuchi...?"

"Are you that stupid (name)?!" She yelled as her hand tightened around your throat. "You really have no clue as to what you did?!"

"..."

You didn't see the blow coming as her fist collided with your check.

"Agh-"

"Do you remember now!"

"Higuchi- stop this, please!"

"You deserve this." Was all she said. Her gaze burned right through you as she brought her gun up to your forehead. You then heard the gun click as she rested her finger on the trigger. You began to black out, your vision blurring as you no longer struggled against her, your hands went limp at your sides. Suddenly a black and red appendage snaked its way around her arm holding the gun. It startled Higuchi as she didn't want him to find out.

"If you don't want me to slice that arm off I suggest you put the gun down and step away from her."

Higuchi reluctantly let go of you and did as he said. Then it hit you, what she'd been so upset about. You couldn't gulp down air fast enough as you were grateful that your boyfriend showed up before anything else happened. Who knew what coverup Higuchi would've used. You felt Akutagawa at your side as he stared daggers at the blonde. He pulled you into his embrace and tucked you into his side. The gesture made you feel safe.

"Give me one good reason I shouldn't kill you right now." He said.

"..." Higuchi just stared down at her feet, her shame ultimately getting the best of her.

"I thought so..." Rashoumon began glowing dangerously behind him. Both you and Higuchi flinched at the sound. Is he actually going to-

"Say goodbye to your pitiful existence, bitch."

But before he could let his ability devour her you gripped his arm and looked at him pleadingly. He looked down at your shaky form as he opened his mouth to protest.

"Please." You begged, making the desperation in your tone noticeable. The ravenette sighed and Rashoumon vanished.

"Consider yourself lucky Higuchi." Akutagawa said, "But if you dare lay a finger on my (name) again then next time I can't guarantee your survival."

Higuchi gaped at him as he picked you up carrying you in a bridal position as he began to leave. The blonde couldn't understand why you wanted Akutagawa to spare her life but she was thankful that you did. You seemed just as scared and shameful as she was. She wanted to ask you why you did but her superior's threat still lingered...
