Believe, and it will come true.

That's what the media says. All those heroes in drama shows, those protagonists in movies, they "believe" in the power of friendship, or love, or whatever, and they have a great, happy ending.

The End.

Except life doesn't work that way. You can believe in something for your whole life, you can pray with your soul, and yet what you dream or pray might not even come true.

If the end, believing can only take you so far. The ones who are really successful are the ones chest-deep in blood, sweat, and tears.

Their own blood, sweat, and tears.

Their comrade's blood, sweat and tears.

Their rival's blood, sweat and tears.

The story that I am going to be telling you is not one of those lukewarm "so they lived happily ever after" stories. What I'm telling you is a story of hardships, of friendship and betrayal, of working so hard on something even when the effort may be fruitless in the end. A story of seven broken, worthless, nameless pieces of trash who tried to make a name for themselves in this vast world.

This is the story of the seven.
