My mind full about the incident that just happened, I walked back home cradling Mafuyu in my arms. She was dead exhausted from the abrupt fighting she had to do, so she promptly fell asleep and was snoring in my chest.
As I got home (her home) and opened the door, I realized that the lights weren't on.
Huh, I guess her parents are still at work today.
Gently rousing my sister awake, I told her to go quickly take a shower. Ten minutes later, she came out yawning, wearing nothing but a towel.
"Umm.....Couldn't you dress a little more appropriately?"
"Huawwwwwww.......I'm tired.....get my pjs, please? I'll be lying on this soft couch right here....."
Sighing, I go up to her room and deliver her pajamas, before washing myself as quickly as possible in the shower. Going back to the sofa, I see that Mafuyu has completely fallen asleep. These little moments truly remind me of how small my little sister is, despite her usual stoic demeanor.
"Oni...chan? Where are you carrying me??"
"Sh....... Just to your room, okay?"
"Could you tuck me in....?"
"Of course, now close your eyes and have a good night."
"Kay...."
As I tucked my sister in bed, I couldn't help but smile as I think to myself that I used to be as small as her. Softly brushing her hair to the side, I admire her slim, angel-like physique.
So this is what it looks like when she sleeps..... how cute.....
Before I know it, I'm starting to feel a tad sleepy as well. Little kids do radiate the same aura which cats and kittens also radiate – the aura that makes you fall asleep no matter what.
Slowly, I slumber over and fall asleep, my knees on the floor and my head resting on her lap.......
And I am promptly woken up by a loud smack on my forehead, and a painful crack from my back. And I did say promptly, but turns out I spent the entire night (9 hours) in that knees-on-floor head-on-lap pose....
"Ou! That hurt!"
"Which one? My slap or your back?"
"Both! Couldn't you have woken me up nicer??"
"Hey, I was just surprised that you were still here of all things, and sleeping."
"Suspicious...."
"What, you doubting me?"
"You're usually a sleepyhead right when you wake up, unlike me, but how are you this coherent if you just woke up?
"Grhhh..."
"And I do see an opened book by your nightstand..... Could it be that you woke up way before me?"
"Didn't you have that weird social program part-time job thingy today??"
"Don't change the stor..... Shoot! I completely forgot about that!"
Right.
Today was the day I would take part in a "social experiment" in two people evaluated each others' social skills, so that scientists in charge could categorize social habits based on race, gender, socioeconomics, etc.
I have truly fallen, having to be reminded of this by my little sister, I think in dismay, even though I already knew in my heart that my sister was more mature than me.
