What Is Querying?
I've seen a lot of questions on this so I'll go ahead and explain. When an author is finished with their book, they have options of different ways to publish it. If you are going through the traditional way, you'll need an agent. You find an agent through querying which essentially means you write them a formal letter explaining why you would like for them to be your agent and include a publish-ready manuscript for them to read.
They will decide from there if they want to work with you. This is the route I am trying to take, and since many agents would rather work with authors who have not been previously published on anything, I figured this would help my chances. Fingers crossed that someone might pick up my books but we'll see!
