Kinsey sat beside the pond in the curve of a maple tree's branch, staring up in between the other branches to see the first few stars of the night. Her and Iris's sorrow at the loss of Gypsa was causing her to undergo great levels of depression. She sighed and leaned against the branch, staring down at the water which reflected the beautiful blue black sky.

   "You ok?"

She gasped and looked back at Aldwin who had snuck up and perched himself beside the trunk on the same branch. "Yeah. Just upset."

"Yeah. I'm feeling Ceruleo's depression. That and my own."

Kinsey nodded and shrugged. "What are you depressed about?"

He shrugged. "Gypsa. My mother. You."

That brought a screeching halt to any of her other thoughts.

   "Me?"

The look he gave her could only be described as hopeless. "Yeah. I was hoping you felt the same way about me that I feel about you. I see now I was just building up false hope."

"What? What are you talking about?"

He clenched his jaw and then stared up at the sky. "I love you! Ok? I always have. I remember when I was eight and you'd first moved here with your dad after your mom died. I was hiding behind a tapestry in the king's main hall, watching you as your dad introduced you to the king. I followed you and your dad almost everywhere just to see if I could ever speak to you. It was just puppy love then, but after you practiced with me during your dad's dragon hunts and then you started leading my squadron, it just got stronger."

He sighed and a very light blush heated his cheeks in the light from the moon. "I always acted useless during practices so you'd come over and show me how to do it properly. I knew how and whenever you weren't around I could do it fine, but I'd fake it to get you close. Then Audrey caught your attention and I just felt like I was burning up with jealousy. I'd tried everything to get your attention and yet all Audrey had to do was flip his hair and you couldn't help but glance in his direction. Then…then you agreed to marry him and I felt my world come crashing in. I'd meant to tell you on that trip, but I was too scared you'd shoot me down. So…there's the truth."

Kinsey gasped at him, surprised that he had suddenly become so open with her. "Wow. I'm…shocked. Is that really how you feel. I knew you probably liked me, but I didn't think it was that strong. I didn't know up until Ceruleo told me."

Baldwin glanced at her strangely. "Ceruleo? How did Ceruleo tell you?"

"He claimed he could see it."

"Because I could. I saw how he went to rescue you. I saw how he looked at you. I could feel it radiating off of him." Ceruleo's deep wise voice echoed in their heads.

"I convinced you that Aldwin loved you and then I convinced Aldwin a few minutes ago to break the news to you about how he felt. I wanted you two together."

Kinsey blushed and then she heard Iris's voice. "I'm using the secret mind link. Only you can hear me. Now don't waste time. Scoot closer to him."

Kinsey did as her thought dragon said and shifted a few feet closer to him. "Well, Audrey wasn't my type, but maybe I could start over again with another guy."

Aldwin paused and themselves to be listening to something, probably Ceruleo, before smiling and reaching out, taking my hand and guiding me closer. "I'll agree to that, as long as you let me finally kiss you."

Kinsey smiled and followed his guiding hand, sitting over his lap while her arms hugged his neck. "Sure. I noticed you've been really trying hard for a while."

He smirked and then encircled his arms around her back, pulling her tight to him. She looked up at and met his handsome green eyes, running her hands up through his luxurious black hair. He wasn't as drop dead gorgeous as Audrey, but Audrey's good looks only made her gag now. Aldwin had the personality and sweetness to win her over. Not to mention his looks weren't half bad.

Before anything else could happen, he yanked her to him and kissed her lips, stealing her gasp into his mouth. Audrey had officially been out done. Aldwin could kiss like no one's business. She smiled and hauled him harder to her, kissing him back like how I believed I should. He pulled back and shook his head. "Uh-uh. Like this."

He tilted her head slightly to right and then tilted her jaw up so he could get a better angle. He didn't dive in quite like Audrey, but he sort of asked for permission by tapping my lips with his tongue. She granted him entrance and both their tongues tangled in her mouth. She pulled away and smiled, feeling Iris and Ceruleo sharing each other's closeness as well. "That's right. Since we're close to each other, Iris and Ceruleo are having the same romantic moment as us."

He smiled and rested his forehead on hers, his eyes glittering like the stars far above them. "Cool. Now let's let them have their romantic moment."

He leaned them back onto the branch, keeping them balanced by wrapping his legs around the branch. They kissed again, longer and slower this time. Inside their minds, they could hear the two dragons purring and growling in pleasure as they enjoyed the close proximity. Aldwin's hands slid down her back and then slipped up the back of her shirt. She gasped as his hands met her back, a very new feeling. She sat up and leaned back, arching her spine. "Okay. If this is something to do with sex then please slow up. It's not that I don't want you, but Audrey didn't give me a positive view of the subject after he almost raped me several times."

Aldwin stared up at her, his eyes flickering to her breasts out of habit. "I'm sorry. It's just…well…you're…"

He couldn't finish. He looked away and bit his lip. She smiled and rested her hands on his chest. "I'm…what?"

"You're…incredibly sexy. I didn't really know I was touching you until you told me to stop. It was out of instinct."

She smiled and leaned down, tickling the hairs on his nape with her nails. "Well, I guess if it comes so naturally, I guess I can let you take my virginity. I mean, I've done this much for you, I think you can spare me a pretty decent first time."

He shivered and she smiled, jerking her head at the ground. "Let's take this to the ground, lest we get too rowdy in this tree."

He followed down to the ground and she smiled, grabbing his blanket from his bag near the base of the massive tree, spreading it over the ground. She laid out on it and stared unbuttoning her blouse. "Come on, Aldwin. I know Ceruleo's dying to do this with Iris again."
