"Your so annoying Sabrina!" I yelled as she threw a pillow at my face.

We were having a sleepover at her house. We had just finished our first year at the Academy of Unseen Arts and we were enjoying all the time we could get without having to deal with spells and curses.

"Am not!" She laughed while standing on top of her bed. I was behind her open door, trying very hard not to get knocked out by her insane throwing skills.

"I'm going to tell your aunts that your trying to kill me!" I yelled. "You better stop or-" Before I could finish my sentence, another pillow came flying past my head. "Sabrina!" I screeched.

I quickly ran down the hallway before she could aim another deadly object at me. I was in my long pajama pants and socks. Running in this outfit was absolutely terrifying. I felt like I was going to slide into the wall and Sabrina would attack me with another ten pillows.

I ran through the halls of the house and hurriedly tried to find Ambrose's room. When I finally found it, I pushed his door open. He was on his bed reading a book. He looked up at me, his eyes widening in shock.

"Can I help you (Y/n)?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.

I nodded before shutting the door and locking it. I panted heavily while turning to face a questioning Ambrose. I raised a finger signaling for him to wait.

"I can't breathe." I said exasperated. "Your cousin is trying to kill me with pillows and I  need your help. Just don't tell her I'm in here." He stared at me with a smirk on his face.

"Looks like she might be on her way here." He said. I looked at him confusingly. Before I could say anything, I heard something being thrown at a wall. Taking a guess, I figured it was Sabrina and one of her pillows.

"(Y/n)! Where are you?!" Sabrina yelled somewhere in the house. I widened my eyes. "Ambrose. Help!" I whispered pleadingly. He sighed while getting up from the bed.

"Stay here." He said sternly. I nodded at him obediently. He opened the door and stepped out of the room. He closed it while I hurriedly put my ear to the door.

"What are you doing, cousin?" I heard Ambrose say. "I'm looking for (Y/n). Have you seen her?" Sabrina asked. She seemed closer to the room than before. "I'm afraid not. She's definitely not in my room if you are going to ask. Although, I do recall hearing her run through the hall a few minutes ago if that helps."

I sighed while leaning against the wall. Sabrina is one crackhead witch when you hang out with her. All of a sudden, the door opened and Ambrose stepped in.

"I believe I just saved your ass for you." He grinned teasingly. I rolled my eyes at him in a joking manner.

"Yeah whatever." I said while crossing my arms over my chest. He walked back to his bed and laid back down, continuing on reading his book. I stood there awkwardly.

"What are you reading?" I asked in hopes of making some conversation. He looked up at me. "To kill a mockingbird." He looked back down and began reading again. "Oh, is it good?" I asked. He nodded while turning to the next page. I sighed, this was going no where.

I looked around his room. It was boyish but not dirty. There were many questioning choices of decoration but I said nothing. I looked up and widened my eyes. There were even upside down chairs on the ceiling. Weird.

"You can sit down if you want. I don't bite." Ambrose chuckled. I tucked a piece of loose hair behind my ear while smiling at him.

"Where can I sit?" I asked.

"You can sit next to me, I don't mind. The bed is big enough for the both of us anyways." He patted the space next to him. I nodded while walking to the mattress. I sat down on it and scooted towards the side, trying to put as much space between us as possible.

"Here. You can read this if you'd like." He said while handing me a book. I took it from his grasp and placed it on my lap.

"Thank you Ambrose. Are you sure you want me to stay here? I'm sure this awkward for you, I can go if you'd like."

He faced me with a perplexed look on his face. Did I say something wrong? He shook his head no before I could think anything else.

"Your fine (Y/n). Sabrina is out there trying to kill you. I think it's best you stay here with me." He tilted his head down to look at me more intently.

"Right." I smiled lightly. I opened the book without reading the title. Whether he agreed or not, this was awkward. So being the slight nerd I was, I began reading the novel immediately.

For some odd reason, the book automatically sucked me in. It was a tale of two lovers who were from two different cliques. A forbidden love, almost like 'Romeo and Juliet'. They never knew each other but they always had their eyes on one another. The book was fairly long with at least 50 chapters that had about 30 pages in each of them.

When I turned to the next page, I gasped in shock. I was already on chapter 45! That meant I must have been here for an hour or even longer. I turned to look at Ambrose who was still reading a book as well.

"Ambrose. How long have I been here for?" I asked urgently.

"About....two hours." He said checking his phone. He widened his eyes. "Sorry. I should have given you a different book. It just gets too good doesn't it?" He chuckled. I nodded with a small grin.

"Yeah. It gets really good in every chapter." I paused while Ambrose stared at me, a ghost of a smile on his face. "I should go, Sabrina must be very worried."

I quickly shut the book and handed it to him. As I was about to get out of the bed, Ambrose grabbed my arm and pulled me back down. I looked at him puzzled. Before I could say or do anything, I felt his lips on mine.

The kiss was quick and urgent. His lips were so soft and I couldn't resist but to kiss him back. He softly cupped my face with his hand as he slid another arm around my waist pulling me onto his lap.

As the kiss continued, I wrapped my arms around his neck pulling him closer. A few seconds passed until we both broke for air. Are faces were still inches apart.

"Ambrose." I whispered out of breath. "Don't say anything. I really needed that." He interrupted. I nodded while crawling of his lap and standing up. He got up as well and lead me to the door.

"I'm sorry Ambrose. I shouldn't have done that and I shouldn't have come here. Let's not make things become awkward between us." I said worriedly. He shook his head before dipping his head down to my neck with his lips close to my ear.

"Next time you barge in my room (Y/n), I expect that we can do more than just a little kiss." He whispered.

He then opened the door from behind me and moved to give me space, smirking at me as I stepped out into the hallway. I nodded softly as I headed towards Sabrina's room, feeling his burning stare on me.

When I finally made it to Sabrina's room, she roughly opened it and dragged me inside.

"Where the hell were you (Y/n)?! I was worried sick I almost called the Weird Sisters to help me find you!" I stared at her guiltily.

I was so dead.
