Bro. I acted for the first time!
For the past three shows i've done backstage stuff (lights crewhead, assistant stage manager, props crewhead) but i acted for this one.
Its a bunch of student written and directed skits and musical acts, it's so fun. I was in three. "Mass Meeting" "[my city name] Abridged" and me and Little Lamb sang a song called Cecily Smith and we kinda acted it out. I played the ukulele and sang Cecily's lines.
Anyway, i was really nervous for this show because SK came and he's a really good actor and singer and I look up to him a lot and agh it was scary. So we went on stage with the lights off and i guess a few people saw the shape of my ukulele and i heard a few "*gasp* yes!"s and that made me really happy. Then the lights came on and we did out thing and we messed up a bit (not too much) and i was like oof but then at the end of our song people clapped and cheered really loudly and i was like !!!!!! And then i heard SK scream at the top of his lungs "YEAH YACY!!!!!!!" And my heart absolutely swelled. That made me so happy.
The seniors also sang a song at the end of the show together since they're graduating and it was their last performance. They sang You've Got a Friend in Me from Toy Story. At the end, CJM yelled "LOOK OUT! Jeff's coming!!" [jeff's the name of our director, it was like "andy's coming" but with jeff] and then they stuck out their left foot and on the bottom of their shoes it said "HP" [name of our theatre] like how Woody has Andy's name on his foot. Bruh that shit hurted, i cried lol.
And then during curtain call, we bow by skits, so when Little Lamb and I did out bow people screamed and SK yelled "YACYYYYY" again and it was nice and AGH! THAT MADE ME SO HAPPY!!
Then i changed and i went out to say hi to people and SK and my friend Sop were at the door to the makeup room and Sop went "give me a hug!!!" And SK stepped in front of her and squatted for a hug, so i hugged him and he picked me up and went "mine." And just walked halfway down the hall with me lmao. Finally he put me down and then just left cuz i was ambushed by a few of my freshmen friends.
Then i went around and people were complementing the song and wowza. That just really did make me happy agh.
I think I'm gonna act more next year
