Her crystal blue eyes glistened in the surprisingly sunny London weather, panic rising in her chest as the cab pulled up to her new apartment building. 'Calm down karmin' she thought to herself, "is this the correct complex?" the cabbie questioned, his accent thick, and charming. "yes, thank you." she responded, along with a polite smile as she paid the cabbie and exited the taxi, noticing the moving truck Leaving the premises. She anxiously entered the building, greeted by a sandy haired man shoving into her. "I'm so sorry love! are you alright?" he questioned quickly, helping her frail figure to her feet. "f-fine, thanks." she sputtered anxiously, not making eye contact with the man. "John! No time for chatting we've got a case!" a much taller man in a long coat yelled at the man, who she could only assume was john.
He rolled his eyes at the taller man, shaking his head at him. "dammit Sherlock, give me a minute." john snapped, Sherlock just storming by carelessly. "lets go john!" he shouted,John gave a warm smile towards her, putting out his is hand for her to shake. "Nice to meet you, I'm john, and that's Sherlock." he says as she shakes his hand. "N-Nice to meet you too, I'm karmin." she says nervously, he nodded and rushed off to Sherlock who was hailing a cab.
She sighed, almost relieved they were done chatting, managing to dodge the sweet old woman she knew as Mrs. Hudson, opening the door to her new apartment and stepping in, quickly closing the door behind her before anyone felt the need to say hello. She stood in the middle of the main room for a moment, before walking over to the stack of boxes and tearing them open and beginning the hassle of unpacking.
~time skip~
She had finally finished unpacking, sighing tiredly and looking around her decently homey apartment before walking into the kitchen, starting a cup of coffee, grabbing her usual creamer from the fridge and setting in next to the coffee maker, walking into the living room for a moment to turn on the Television, flipping to her favorite show that just happened to be on, suddenly distracted by the familiar beeping sound of her coffee maker, walking back into the kitchen to finish up her coffee, smiling happily as the lovely coffee smell filled her nose.
She finished making her coffee and went to sit on the couch, quickly getting lost in her show, curling up in a blanket and sipping her coffee carefully, not wanting to stain her new couch or carpet, and to tired to clean up any spills she happened to make on the beautiful hardwood floor.
