Movie & Pizza night was a regular Saturday thing at Brianne's apartment for her and her close group of friends, when they weren't hungover from the Friday night before at Club Vivid. Only the hottest club in the Bay Area. Club night and keeping it lowkey with a movie and pizza wasn't all they did together. They liked hanging out at hipster craft breweries. Brianne worked as a teacher at a New Tech Network high school with her two friends she's had since middle school, Jenn and Sarai. Fabian, Brianne's brother works as a cop patrolling neighborhoods during the day. He joined the police academy during college with his childhood friend, Travis. Travis ventured into other things in the field, but that never stopped the group from being whole. Mason and Skylar became part of the group during high school. They started an I.T. company and work at the New Tech Network high school as the I.T. guys. Spring break was approaching soon. But two weeks off of work might get some in the group in a little more in trouble, than what they had originally planned.

"Guys, please be careful! It took me like five washes to finally get that stain you guys made from last time!" I stressed. These neanderthals I love to call my friends, can't seem to not wave their hands around with food in their hands while they talk.
"Sweetie, I'll buy you a whole new couch." Mason said laughing shoving almost an entire slice of pizza in his mouth.
"Gross, Mase!" I laughed and threw a pillow at him. When he blocked the pillow from hitting him, he elbowed Travis right in the nose by accident.
"Fuck! Mase!" Travis gripped his nose and ran to my kitchen.
"Haha! You got him right on his money maker, Mase!" Fabian almost turned red and stopped breathing of laughter. I stood up and followed Travis into the kitchen. Jenn followed me as she laughed. Travis was leaning over the sink as if he was bleeding to death. He wasn't, he was just hunched over from the pain.
"Grab the ice tray, Jenn." I said while I rummaged through my counter drawer for a ziplock bag.
"Nah, I'm good. I think I'm good." Travis said as he was trying to now play it cool, but still holding onto his nose like it was going to fall off.
"Here." I said quietly. I passed him the ice bag and Jenn walked back into the living room still laughing. Travis stood with the pack on his face smiling but watching me float around my kitchen. I started to go through my wineglass cupboard for a glass and took out a Costco size bottle of moscato from the refrigerator.
"Lush." Travis mumbling under his breath under the icebag.
"What was that?" I asked as I stared at him while I poured some of my moscato in my glass. I pulled out a shot glass and then started to pour a shot of Hennessy that was sitting on my counter since Skylar walked in with it.
Speaking slowly and clearly like I was a five year old, "I said, lush." Staring at me with the icebag away from his mouth with a smirk.
"Oh." I laughed. "This isn't for me, Travvie." I handed him the shot. "This is for you and your whore getter."
Heckles of ooh'ing echoed from my living room. He smiled and shook his head and took the shot glass from my hand. I clinked the shot glass with my moscato glass. "Bottoms up. Feel better." He smiled at me with reassurance that he wasn't mad and drank his shot while I drank a sip of my moscato.
"Thanks, Banī." He said quietly and looked up to make sure none of our other friends heard him say that.
"Okay! Who's got picks on the movie tonight?" Sarai, who is Travis's cousin, sat crisscrossed applesauce wedged in my favorite corner of my giant sectional couch, wearing her favorite movie night unicorn onesie. Little does she know I'm going to smash her like a pancake and get my corner back once I throw my bunny onesie on.
"Give Sarai the remote."
"Hey fuck the hell off, it's my pick. It was supposed to be my pick last week, but somehow Mason had the remote and picked fucking 'Requiem'." Fabian complained. "You just wanted to watch Jennifer Connolly get fucked by the double dildo!"
"You're a double dildo!" Mason threw his middle finger at him.
"You're juvenile." Fabian rolled his eyes and took a sip of his craft beer can.
"What the fuck is wrong with 'Requiem'?" Mason asked. Fabian looked at Travis and scratched the back of his head with a squint. "Nothing. It's just, Trav and I had to deal with some weird shit that day at work and then you throw that on."
"Oh. Sorry about that, man. You should have said something." Mason his hand on Fabian's shoulder and all the snooty fucking around went away. "Okay. New rule, no negative movies that are relevant to our day!" Mason announced like it was a declaration of the town.
It never ceases to amaze me how much we all annoy eachother, but will always be there for eachother no matter what. I love how our group is with eachother. We're like one big family.
"Pick a fucking movie already, Fabes." Sarai laughed.
"Alright here. Hangover III."
"Finally." I said. "Move it, Sarai!"
"Dammit! Almost!" She laughed and got up and laid in her favorite spot on the floor. The guys started opening their cold craft beer cans.
And there it was...
Our normal pizza & movie night in, in my cozy apartment in a nutshell.
