Taylor's P.O.V.

Jeremy and I arrived home, but we were sick to our stomachs. We glanced at the clock every 30 seconds, wondering when Hayley would storm through the front door in tears. Neither of us were hungry, even though we had gotten nothing at Starbucks. I suggested watching a movie, and since we wanted to keep our minds of what we knew would happen, I suggested the longest movie I could think of: Lord of the Rings.

"You up for a marathon?" I asked quietly, but Jeremy didn't even seem to care.

"Sure, whatever man," he replied absentmindedly.

It took me 10 minutes or so to remember how to hook up the wires to the stereo system and blah blah blah. I'm not the greatest when it comes to technology.

"Sorry about the wait, J," I said, looking over to my best friend.

Jeremy only sighed and checked the time and the text messages on his phone.

Thirty minutes into the movie, Jeremy abruptly sat up and grabbed the remote, pausing the movie.

"She should have been back by now. Or at least have given me a text message, or.... SOMETHING." Without letting me say anything, he got up and ran towards the front door, screaming "THAT SCUMBAG DIDN'T BREAK UP WITH HER!"

I followed him into the evening. "JEREMY! WAIT!" I yelled. "Text him first!"

The bearded bassist whipped out his phone and quickly typed "So, how's it going?" to Chad.

We waited a second, then ten, then thirty, then a minute, then five. Finally Jeremy's phone buzzed in his hand. I couldn't read it because of the glare, but Jeremy almost crushed his phone with his fist. Just seeing him mad got ME mad.

"What is it? What did he say?"

Jeremy thrust his phone into my hand, and I read the message, feelng blood boil up inside me.

The phone read, "I'll leave $5,000 in your bank account if you don't tell. Seems awfully fair to me."

"I'll leave my fist in your face!" I yelled. I then began to type that in, my two fingers moving rapidly. "False hope is worse than no hope. She deserves better than you. Break up with her. NOW."

There were no more replies for another hour.
