Soul's ink from heaven's tears
A million memories flooding your eyes
Whispers of late piercing my ears
Is it loss that never lies?
Clocks wind down, words run out
We pawns of time, why've we fought?
Roots broken, souls tattered
You can say it never mattered
Bred from pain, sugar gathers
Just let go o' the dreams we shattered
Lets run away from time
Back through the horizon
When the world had reason
When we felt our rhyme
Off to those summer nights
Soaked in glory up heaven's heights
Halcyon days when roses were free
When we swore we'll be one, you and me
Lift my gaze from the stars
Can't chase horizons
Can't run from time
So here I remain beneath my halo:
this streetlight
Years went by in the blink of an eye
Passing the time, drowned in lies
Guess we're called to by different lives
'Cuz our fingers slip and so the story ends
(it poured on and on and on)

Lost at night
Found my light
