The Koopalings - Introduction

The Birth of Morton Koopa Jr.

In late 1998, Sheila was pregnant with her third child. Morton Sr. felt like he was ready to name the child after him if it was a boy.

Morton Sr.: I'm just thinking our new child will look more like me.

Sheila: You don't know that yet!

Morton Sr.: You're right, I don't. But I feel it.

Sheila: Oh brother.

Morton Sr.: Speaking of brother, I wonder how Bowser's doing.

At the Koopa castle, Bowser was busy thinking about how to get rid of Mario and Luigi so that he could overthrow Peach and rule the Mushroom Kingdom.

Bowser: Why it is so hard to think of a plan?

Morton Sr. entered the castle just as Bowser got up from his throne.

Morton Sr.: Hi, brother.

Bowser: What are you doing here?

Morton Sr.: Just wanted to check up on you.

Bowser: I'm doing fine, I don't need your pity.

Morton Sr.: Okay, I was just checking.

Bowser: Well, I'm doing fine, so go.

Morton Sr.: Okay.

Morton Sr. left, but Bowser finally realized he needed his brother for his plan.

In January of 1999, Bowser started his plan and called his brother for help.

Bowser: Hello, Morton?

Morton Sr.: Hi, what is it?

Bowser: I need your help.

Morton Sr.: Okay, I'll be right over.

Morton Sr. walked over to Bowser's castle.

Morton Sr: What did you need me for?

Bowser: Something I've been working on.

The project had been going on for a while. Sheila had busy caring for Ludwig and Roy, and in May of 1999, the third egg was laid.

Ludwig: I wonder how Dad's doing.

Sheila: Oh, I don't know.

At the castle...

Bowser: This is perfect!

It is revealed that for months, they have worked on a super complex machine that will take out a selected individual and remake it into something evil. They got help from a few genius Koopas. It may sound risky, but they decided to do a test drive.

Bowser: Perfect!

Bowser selected a Toad that felt like it was lacking importance. It was a turquoise Toad. Just like that, the machine picked up the Toad and shoved it in.

The Toad came out as an evil Toad, with red eyes.

Bowser: It worked!

Mario and Luigi found the evil Toad and hurried on over to Bowser's castle, already suspecting he was up to no good.

Surely enough, Luigi ran into the machine, falling from the hit.

Mario: Oh my.

Bowser: Ah, I see you found my machine.

Mario: End this now!

Luigi: Yeah!

Bowser: There's no way you can stop the machine!

Surely enough, the evil Toad ends up destroying the machine due to its carelessness.

Bowser: Ugh, I forgot to set the machine to a certain kind of evil!

Mario and Luigi win yet again.

Bowser: No matter, Morton, what's going on?

Morton Sr.: I need to get back home.

Morton Sr. ran back over to his house to find the house a mess.

Morton Sr.: What happened?

Sheila: Roy is what happened!

Roy made a mess of the house because his behavior is uncontrolled. There are paint splatters all over the walls. Morton Sr. and Sheila cleaned up after Roy.

Morton Sr.: I feel like I have faith in naming the child Morton now.

Sheila: Why?

Morton Sr.: Because I feel like the child should be taken under my wing.

Sheila: Sure.

Morton Sr.: What's that supposed to mean?

Sheila: Oh, nothing.

On July 18, 1999, the third egg hatched, and it was indeed a boy.

Morton Sr.: What the? He looks nothing like when I was a baby!

Sheila: Well, I already signed his name on the birth certificate, so his name's officially Morton Koopa Jr., whether you like it or not.

Morton Sr.: Aw man.

From that day on, Morton Sr. decided to go by his middle name, Frank.

As for Morton Jr., well, let's just say he would spend his time getting stronger and training to become a valuable asset to the Koopas. Although most of the time, he would blabber on about something either related to the situation or something completely random.
