I was on my phone in Mr. Martin's class, listening to music before class started. My phone buzzed from a text message. I smiled at the name that appeared on my screen.
Kitten😻: Good morning, Adonis! How are you?
Me: Good morning, kitten. I'm good and you?
Kitten😻: I'm alright, a little sleepy... How many times do I have to tell you to stop calling me that?
Me: You can tell me a million times, but I'm still not gonna listen.
Kitten😻: I can't stand you.
Me: Yes, you can. You're still talking to me, aren't you?
Kitten😻: ...I hate you.
Me: Lol, love you too, sis.
Kitten😻: I'm gonna die of boredom in study hall.
Me: Then go to Mr. Corey's or Mr. Roopchand's.
Kitten😻: My teacher wouldn't let me leave unless Roopchand came and got me himself.
Me: Ha, you make it sound like he'll pop up and do that.
Kitten😻: Nah, he has done it multiple times before. He would open the door enough to stick his head in, search the room for my friend and me, and say, " Let's go."
Me: Um...
Kitten😻: Yes, I'm serious. Don't matter if it's February. My ass still has to study for that test in May.
Me: It's gonna be okay, kitten. You'll do great.
Kitten😻: Says you! I'm trash at the tests he gives out in class. It's gonna take a miracle for me to pass this AP test!
Me: I'm sorry, I couldn't help but imagine how your hair would fluff up because of how frazzled you are, like a cat lol.
Kitten😻: If I could hiss at you right now, I would...
Me: This is why I call you kitten.
Kitten😻: Ugh, whatever...
Me: Say, will I be able to see you in 7th period?
Kitten😻: Who do you have for 7th period?
Me: Mr. Corey
Kitten😻: Ohhhhh. Yea, you'll see me. Besides, I have this big ass piece to finish, and I'm already falling behind on my concentration. Cries
Me: Like I said, you'll do great.
Kitten😻: Glad someone believes in me. I also want to show you a new tattoo I got
Me: ...since when you got a tattoo?
Kitten😻: ...yesterday...
I don't care what people do to their bodies. If you knew the consequences, then that's on you. I hope Jaime didn't do this impulsively or got something that looked cool. She has way more substance than that. My phone buzzed again.
Kitten😻: I feel that you're upset with me. Just don't think I did this because it's cool. I've been thinking about this and designed some of it myself. I will be wrapped in bandages for a while, but I did take pictures of it when I got it done. If you don't want to see it, I completely understand. Please don't be mad or look at me differently...
