Jungkook was dragging himself around the dorm. He didn't want to do anything. He cursed himself for ever thinking that he could be with Jin. He'd gotten his hopes up for nothing. Maybe it would've been better if he had just drowned that day. That way he wouldn't have had to go through the pain of knowing that he and Jin would never be together.

Jungkook stopped pacing in the hallway when the front door opened. Jin came running inside looking a bit torn up. His eyes were a bit puffy. Had he been crying? Jungkook forced himself to look away. Jin's problems were none of his business. He began walking away when suddenly Jin launched himself onto his back. Jungkook staggered a bit before regaining his balance.

"H-hyung?" he asked wondering what had happened to make him do such a thing. Jin let go of his back and cupped his face with both hands.

"I love you," he said confidently and kissed him. Jungkook took a step back, pushing Jin off of him.

"What?" Jungkook was so confused. Jin smiled at him.

"I love you!" he repeated. "You told me to tell you when I'd made up my mind and now I have: I love you!" Jungkook stared at him in disbelief.

"W-what made you change your mind?"

Jin shook his head.

"I never said I didn't love you, I said I didn't know. Your message on my cast made me open my eyes. I was stupid to not realize it sooner." Jin showed his cast with the intact message. "I'm sorry I hurt you, more than once. We might still not be able to be together but I want you to know that I love you too."

Jungkook blinked a few times, letting what just happened process, before pulling Jin into his arms and kissing him. Jin threw his arms around Jungkook's neck and kissed him back. They parted soon after only to look into each others eyes instead.

"I better ask you for real this time: Jin-hyung, will you be my boyfriend?" Jungkook asked holding Jin's hands.

"I want to, but it's not that simple. We're going to have to keep it a secret for as long as were in BTS, you do realize that, right?" Jin said sadly. "The members might not care but the rest of the world most certainly will."

"I don't care if it takes 50 years for us to get married, all I want is to be with you." Jungkook said and suddenly remembered something he'd forgotten for years. "Stay right there! I'll be right back!" he shouted and sprinted off to his room. Jin patiently waited for him to come back.

Jungkook came running with a big smile on his lips. In his hand was a little box. Jin felt his heart stop as Jungkook got down on one knee and opened the box to reveal a ring with Jin's full name engraved on it. Jin couldn't believe it was actually happening.

"W-when did you-" he stuttered and Jungkook's smile grew even wider.

"I made it years ago during a special class in school. I didn't have the courage to give it to you when it was done, but who would have thought I'd get to use it like this?" he said happily. "It might not be in the near future but I hope that someday we'll be able to tell the world about us. Kim Seokjin, will you marry me?"

Jin felt tears streaming down his face.

"Of course I will, you idiot!" he said while both laughing and crying. Jungkook got up and took the ring out of the box. He took Jin's left hand and slid the ring onto his finger. As if a sign from above the it fit perfectly.

Jin wanted to open a window and scream out to the entire world that he was in love with Jeon Jungkook, but it could wait. They had their whole lives in front of them.
