coffee shop part 2

i think i tried to write smut i- 💀

ray's pov
i smiled to myself when nate left the coffee shop, i really liked nate already and i hardly met the guy. i was lost in my thoughts before i heard someone call my name.

"hey ray! your shift is done!" behrad yelled.

"ok thank you!" i yelled back and walked to the back and put away my apron and got my stuff.

i said goodbye to my co-workers and started to walk home, i lived like 10 minutes away from the coffee house so it wasn't a big deal. i stopped by a mcdonalds and bought tons of it for the local homeless shelter i go to everyday. when my parents passed away they gave me their money, but i still feel like i need to work and help others.

i walked into the shelter with a number of bags in my hand, the owner spotted me and waved me over to him.

"hey ray how are you?" the owner, carter asked.

"im good carter, just wanted to drop this all off." i placed the millions of bags of mcdonalds on the counter and he gasped.

"oh my god ray! is this for us?" carter asked really shocked.

"yes, it's for everyone in the shelter carter." i smiled and he came around the counter and gave me a big hug. i patted his back lightly and he went on the comms of the shelter.

"everyone please report to the front lobby, mr. palmer has bought everyone mcdonalds!" carter announced excitedly into the comms and i heard cheers from all around.

people started to flow in and grab a bag, yes i bought everyone a bag of food. im too caring alright? this little girl walked up to me, probably at least 5 years old and hugged my leg.

"thank you mr." she said and i smiled.

"your welcome sweetheart." i replied and she ran off to her mother, her mother noticed and waved a little and i nodded and decided to leave.

i went back home and sighed once i sat down on the couch, i heard little footsteps coming towards me and i smiled.

"tony im over here!" i yelled and they got closer and then i saw a little boy with short brown hair and brown eyes, my son tony. he was only 5 years old and he was all i had left.

"daddy!" he exclaimed and crawled up onto the couch and pounced on my chest.

"hey bud, i missed you." i grabbed him and pulled him into my arms and kissed his head.

"oh ray your home that's great!" i heard a female voice say and i looked over to see my best friend sara standing over the couch.

"thank you sara for watching him today, your the best." i said.

"no big deal ray, i love the little rascal. i can bring ava over too if she wants. if you want i can babysit tony everyday your working if you would like." sara offered.

"oh my god sara no, that's too much to ask of you." i shook my head no and i felt tiny hands trying to pull my hair.

"i would love too ray." sara replied and i unattached tony from me and stood up to give sara a hug.

"thank you so much." i whispered and i pulled away.

"your welcome ray, anything for you." she kissed my cheek and waved bye to tony and left. i suddenly heard my phone ding and went to pick it up. it was an anonymous text reading;

hey ray, it's nate. from the coffee shop?

i read the text silently and smiled, i replied back quickly.
