Prompt: You are an urban explorer/paranormal investigator. When you are given permission to go do an overnight challenge at the Opera Populaire you couldn't say no. this is occurring in modern day.
"Do you have everything?", I shouted at Teddy.
"Yeah, I've got everything."
We had finally got permission to do an overnight challenge in the Opera Populaire. And I was going to spend the night in the infamous Box 5. While teddy was going to sleep on stage. Believing that Erik really did exist this was a Phan's dream come true.
Teddy and I had just set up the night vision cameras around the place. We were going all out for this overnight experience. We had borrowed so many cameras it wasn't even funny. I agreed with Teddy that for the rafters/catwalks we should use actual light and not depend on the night vision cameras as our pathway. So, we went to explore the catwalk nothing really saying that Erik once resided here. But none the less it was so cool. The view was cool, it would be an amazing place to watch one of the plays from. But when I went to set up a couple of night vision cameras, I felt like someone was watching me. No one was in the building except me and Teddy. I pushed this feeling aside just thinking that it was just Teddy watching me. After setting up the last camera I turned around just in time to see something move to the back of the catwalk. I thought my eyes were pulling tricks on me, since I was so excited to be here. I went back down to Teddy and we started the challenged.
We did our intro to the video and decided to split up. Teddy wanted to do the front of the opera house and I was going to do backstage, the roof, the underground and Box5, last. I knew that the underground was actually an underground river. Yet I brought a remote-controlled bout that had a camera on it. The package said that the battery would last eight hours, and I made sure that the battery was full.
The corridors of the dark opera house were creepy, and the corridors echoed so much. No wonder it was so easy to throw your voice. You kept on walking with no light only your night vision camera giving you some indication of a pathway.
"Christine...." Someone whispered. The sound was not coming from one direction but all around it really creeped me out. And the only logical thing I thought of at that moment was that Teddy was messing with me. So, naturally I called out.
"Teddy, do you really think that it's a good idea to try to scare me. Plus, you know not to mess with me especially when it comes to POTO. This is a sick joke." I listened a couple of seconds and I heard nothing. I started to keep walking and the voice came back. I decided that I should let Teddy have his fun and I'll get my revenge later. I turned a corner and threw my screen I saw a human figure. I dropped kicked that thig so fast I didn't even have time to prosses what just happed. I turned my lights on and saw that I just dropped kick a mannequin.
"Bloody murder" I yelled out. But as my voice faded a laugh echoed threw the corridor. "you think that was funny I almost died." I hope that the camera was getting everything, or this video was going to show that is was going insane.
I explored everything I was supposed to except for the roof since it was locked. I made my way to Box 5. I set my camera up and laid down ready to sleep and me being me decided to say, "Goodnight Erik." I never thought I would get a response.
"Goodnight Christine."
