When Makayla had asked me earlier this week if I could go with her to the mall when she went dress shopping for Homecoming, I hadn't realized she had also asked this to all of our other friends. Why was I even here?

I was currently sitting on a very comfy, plush pink chair while waiting for all my friends to finally pick out a dress for Homecoming. We had already been here for at least an hour, and I was growing bored. I flipped through Instagram and twitter, hoping to see something interesting; but alas, there was nothing new that had been posted since I had last checked not even thirty seconds ago.

"If only my tits were bigger, this would look so cute" Lily groaned from the dressing room.

"Feel free to take some of mine!" Ashlyn said from the dressing room next door. "My boobs are basically spilling out of this dress, I look like such a hoe."

Sydney, who was standing beside me, laughed. "Good, if you got 'em, flaunt 'em" she remarked. She then turned to me and scoffed.

I looked up from my phone. "What?" I asked.

"Girl, you're going to Homecoming too. Aren't you going to try on a dress at all?"

I shrugged my shoulders nonchalantly. "Eh, who said I was going to wear a dress? What's wrong with just wearing what I normally wear?" What I normally wear, of course, are jeans, sweatshirts and converse. I could see Sydney's eyes basically bulge out of her head from my comment.

"What's wrong with what you normally wear? Rach, are you kidding me? It's Homecoming! You gotta dress up at least a little..."

Makayla opened the door to her dressing room and stepped out, wearing a short, sequined cocktail dress that was so white, it was almost the color of snow. The color complimented her sun kissed blonde locks and tanned skin. The dress was practically skin tight and hugged all her curves, accentuating her best features. "How do I look?" she asked.

Sydney and I both looked her up and down before smiling. "That's the one girl" Sydney stated, giving Makayla the thumbs up.

It was then, that our other friends Ashlyn and Lily also stepped out, wearing their dress of choice as well. Both looked flawless. Ashlyn donned a baby pink colored dress with a heart-shaped neckline and lace details covering the shoulders. Lily, on the other hand, wore a white floral dress, painted with blue and yellow flowers on the front.

All of my friends looked so pretty, and I couldn't help but be a little jealous. All my friends were absolutely gorgeous, whereas I looked like a troll compared to the rest of them. They always told me that wasn't true, but whenever I compared myself to them, I couldn't help but feel like the odd one out.

"Where's your dress, Syd?" Lily asked, seeing that Sydney wasn't wearing a dress and didn't appear to be holding a bag that contained a dress either.

"Oh, I bought mine online a few days ago when Cameron asked me to go with him. It's this blue little number that I thought was super cute."

I immediately stood up. "Great, looks like everyone has a dress. Time to go now!" I state, feeling giddy to finally leave this store. Shopping was just not for me. All eyes fell on me and I gulped when I felt a sudden change in the atmosphere. Oh no.

"Oh no you don't, you still need to get a dress too" said Ashlyn. Everyone else nodded their head in silent agreement.

"Guys, no. It's for one night and I really don't want to buy an expensive dress that... let's be honest, I'll only wear for maybe 3 hours tops." I plead, gearing the desperation in my voice.

Sydney lit up with an evil smile. Oh no, I knew that look far too well. I automatically knew she was going to get her way one way or another.
