~~~~~~~~~~~~~Peter's POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Peter."
I hear someone calling my name in the distance.
"Peter, wake up." It's a girl's voice, I can tell.
"No, Aunt May, I don't want to go to school," I mumble.
"Peter, wake up NOW!" Someone shoves my arm.
I sit up to find myself immersed in darkness.
"Told ya we should've doused him in water," a teenage boy's voice says.
"Water? From where? Nevermind, he's up now and that's the important thing. Peter, how are you?" A concerned voice that I now realize is Shuri asks.
"I'm good, I think. But my foot hurts a little bit. Where are we?" I ask, thinking about what happened in the past hour.
"So, remember when we were in that office, hiding?" She begins.
I nod, remebering.
"Well, when you turned on the light switch, it somehow opened a trapdoor and you fell through."
"Really? Then how did you two get down here without falling?"
"Oh, there was a ladder," she replies. "As soon as we climbed down, the ladder folded itself back up."
"So, we're stuck down here," Groot adds.
"Okay...so, what did this trapdoor look like?" I ask, curious.
"Hang on, let me show you," Shuri says, pushing buttons on her watch.
"Um, wha-"
"I don't have any phone service down here, but I can use my watch," she explains.
A few minutes later, she pulls up a hologram of a trapdoor.
"See? Like this one," she says.
I nod, and so does Groot. Wait! I can see their faces because of the light from the watch.
"Hey, do you have another watch? Or another light? So we can see?" I ask.
"No. But, I have these," she says, taking out three pencils.
Groot and I stare at her. Where is she going with this?
"For what? Are we going to take a test?" Groot asks teasingly.
Shuri plays along.
"Yup. I'm going to give you both a test on pop culture. Hope you pass."
"Wow. A great teacher, you are," Groot replies, changing his voice to sound like an old man.
I stifle a laugh. These two are hilarious
sometimes.
"Listen, Yoda, we gotta get going, so take these pencils and click the eraser three times."
